Exceptional stay, truly felt like home

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for more. The room was extremely cosy, spotless and very well maintained, making us feel comfortable from the very first moment. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding villages and the wider Zagori area, which made our excursions very easy and enjoyable. What really made our stay special was Katerina, the hostess. She is incredibly kind, warm, friendly and genuinely caring. She prepared delicious breakfasts every morning, always asked if we needed anything, and gave us excellent advice and recommendations on where to go and what to see. She is a truly exemplary host, making guests feel welcome and at home. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

A really cozy stay with a beautiful view of the Gorge!

Amazingly friendly host who helped us get started on the famous Vikos Gorge hike and arranged a taxi for us. Even though the town was quiet and empty when we got there in the low season, still made us feel like home. Breakfast was also amazing!

Vikos View and what a view 👍🏻

I arrived late and it was already getting dark, but Katharina gave me a very warm welcome. I immediately felt at home. The next day, I was greeted by this view, which was indescribably beautiful.

Very cozy, lovely and welcoming hotel surrounded by scenic views for budget travelers

First of all, Katarina our host was very kind and attentive, plus, she makes the best breakfast! Other than that the compound is lovely, very connected to nature. The room was very clean and welcoming, and the viewpoint on the Vikos Gorge only a few dozen meters from the hotel is beautiful. There’s also some amazing views from the room, we enjoyed it a lot. The hotel owner provides touristic services and he was very kind and easy to talk to.

Everything was absolutely lovely, so we only have some side notes: The shower is small and the temperature from our experience weren’t very stable. However, we will still come back for sure and recommend! Another side note - the location of the hotel is not actually inside Aristi, but in Vikos.

Vikos View and Vikos Magic

Best home base for Vikos Magic and Adventures you can imagine. We had booked two nights, but stayed for in the end. It’s hard to leave this place. Katharina is such a wonderful host. Hope we can come back soon.

Excellent stay in a wonderful location.

Had a wonderful 3 day stay at this rustic accomodation located right at the Vikos end of the Vikos gorge hike with great views of the mountains. The room was spacious and clean with very comfortable bed and the breakfast was great (don’t miss the omelette if you like eggs!). The greatest feature was the hospitality shown by Katerina who welcomed us as if we were family - nothing was too much trouble. Kristos provided great advice on activities etc. and again nothing was too much trouble. The small bar was great for a cold drink after a day of activities.

A GREAT stay 10 out of 10!

An amazing location with stunning view. There are numerous hiking trails in the area including one across the street. The rooms are great and very clean. The staff is outstanding- very helpful and incredibly friendly. They also serve food and we had an outstanding lunch. Bottom line, this place is highly recommended.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this peaceful hotel. The hospitality was exceptional: Katherine who runs the place was really amazing and welcoming. She was very warm & friendly and full of care. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. Hotel’s location is perfect for exploring the Zagori region. The nice Vikos Gorge View Point is just few meters the hotel and the trail to the beautiful Angastromeni & Voidomatis Springs begins in front of the hotel. Hotel’s location is great to explore the Zagori villages, especially Aristy, Papingo, Mikro Papinko and the beautiful trails along Voidomatis river. We recommend this hotel to anyone who’s looking for a peaceful hotel\home at Zagori.

Breathtaking view and homely hosting, a perfect vacation destination.

The host and the staff ere incredibly kind and welcoming. The breakfast was rich and delicious, the view was breathtaking, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the price matched our expectations. We would return to this place, no doubt. Vikos is a lovely small village, we visited in April and the weather was chilly but perfect for us.

Lower floor rooms don't have much sound isolation, you could hear the living room quite well.

Amazing place !

Bottom line — this was hands down the best, coziest, and most enjoyable place we stayed at during our trip. Katerina welcomed us with warmth and made sure we had everything we needed for our 3 nught stay, from the very first moment. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and generous — the perfect way to start the day. Christos, the owner, went above and beyond, spending an hour and a half with us planning the next leg of our journey. The location is also spot-on for anyone interested in hiking and exploring the stunning Vikos mountain range.

Rooms are very simple but they offer great value for the price we paid. Definitly a fair and worthwhile deal

Just perfect

Perfect location, right at the track down the gorge. Beautifull views from the rooms Staff was very very friendly and breakfast was deliciuos and plenty. A small taverna just 100 meters Down the Road serves great local food at very fair prices Would have loved to stay longer and we are allready dreaming of a return

Superb

Excellent location, right at the Vikos Gorge trailhead. Convenient parking. Very nice staff - helpful and gave their best. Delicious breakfast (ham, cheese, veggies, olives, eggs, pancakes, yoghurt, cereals, jams, fruit, etc.), with to-order egg option. Room was spacy with great views. Good WiFi (quite necessary, as the cell signal is not that great). Despite the doors hardly blocking any sound, it was really quiet at night. The sleep was good.

Minor issues with bathroom doors and the toilet lid. Insect screens would be nice.

Friendly B&B at the top of the stept

The location : though the view is not actually of the Vikos Gorge, you have to take a short walk up to the best viewpoints for that ; but still, the window gave me a mountain view with a switchback road in the middle distance. If you have hiked up the gorge from Monodendri, the gate to the property is about the first thing you see at the top of the climb, and one of the local beers is exactly what you need. (I recommend Jamala, which is an IPA). The receptionist/waitress was very friendly and helpful, didn't speak much English but was a dab hand with a translation app. Breakfast included a decent range of options, the Greek coffee was fierce !

No issues with Vikos View. Check the menus and reviews before choosing a restaurant for dinner though.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you’re in the area for hiking or just the views. The staff was welcoming and helpful and made our experience pleasant. The room was spacious and the bathroom big.

Incredible views from this mountain hotel

The view from my room was spectacular! Really amazing. My hostess was extremely warm and friendly. The room was simple, but the bed and pillows were really comfortable, important after a 6 hour hike through the Vikos Gorge! The hotel is right opposite the entrance to the Gorge path. Breakfast was good. Thanks for the introduction to mountain tea, which is strange but interesting!

No kettle, no fridge. As a solo hiker with sore feet I don't want to have to go out in the evening to find someone to make me a cup of tea. Please put a kettle in the room and I will be back!
