You literally just take keys at the door lock from the drop box.

Cheap and cheerful

The apartment was spacious and the bus to city was about 100m away.

The kitchen was ridiculously tiny, tea cups way too small. The shower head needs repair as it doesn’t Stay in the position in the hold so bathroom floor gets wet. No room for toiletries so I bought in a chair to put them on. When the cleaners knocked and got no answer, they just opened up and came in when I was asleep, I was startled and alone with a strange man in my place.

The beds had quite flimsy slats Thankfully we had an extra bed in the room It was impossible to connect to any Netflix or anything else, which was a shame as after a long day of hiking and sight seeing, we just wanted to relax together

Conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from the Luzern Allmend/Messe train station, this is a spacious family apartment reasonably furnished and offers a comfortable stay in Luzern. Having Migros located next to the apartment was indeed a big help.

The mirror light in the bathroom was faulty, and in spite of reminders, it was never fixed.

Room was getting worked on upon arrival but technician was courteous and worked quickly. Rolladens malfunctioned sometimes. Would start moving before hitting the button. Overall very enjoyable though, nice place to stay.

A lot of money for a very basic apartment.

Good location very easy to get the centre of Luzern. Buses every 15 mins right outside.

The balcony door was broken, first could not open it and then couldn’t not close it and couldn’t be fixed whilst we were there. Bathroom sink plug did not work, towel rail kept falling off wall.

No dishwasher and insufficient kitchenette equipment eg. with no a single cutting board! Poor noise isolation with neighbouring occupants, below average equipment in bathroom with no lock! Expensive parking fee.

The location is Amazing and close to the bus and train station, the check in instructions were super easy and received before arrival in an adequate time , However the staff were nice to help me when needed.

STAY AWAY!

Terrible value for the money and extremely uncomfortable. The building smelled like rotting garbage and fish. Inside the apartment, the futon and beds were massively uncomfortable. Both my daughter and I had back pain the next morning. Bathroom was extremely basic. We paid over $500/night, our most expensive stay in Switzerland by far. Signs were posted everywhere with extra charges, such as CHF 25 to be brought an extra towel. We were miserable and checked out after one night, moving to a hotel in town. I raised this with the management and asked for a partial refund, but they were adamant about no refunds. Incredibly expensive for a terrible apartment!

It did not feel safe that other people can enter with a key.

The location was great as we were visiting to go to the stadium.

During the night, a drunk stranger entered the locked apartment with a key and was within metres of my sleeping daughter. He left and then came back again. I contacted the host who advised me to leave the key in the lock but this should have been key information shared with us before this frightening event happened.

Experience at HITrental Allmend Comfort Apartment

During our two-night stay at HITrental Allmend, we had reserved one of their larger apartments, which came with a balcony and an extra single bed. What I really appreciated about this unit was the increased space it offered compared to the smaller ones (we were e – that extra room and the single bed made a noticeable difference for our group. The balcony was a lovely bonus, providing a nice spot to step out and get some fresh air, a feature often praised by other guests online. Just like the other units, this apartment was spotlessly clean, which is always a top priority. And, aligning with many online comments, the location was fantastic for convenience: having a grocery store right next door and the bus stop a mere 2-3 minute walk away made daily excursions and meal planning incredibly easy.

Despite the added space, my overall impression of this apartment was still that it was pretty basic and somewhat mediocre. The self check-in process, while meant to be efficient, was a bit clunky for us; we had to call for help to figure out the key box, making for a less than smooth arrival and a definite lack of personal interaction, which some online reviews also point out as a drawback. A major comfort issue was the absence of AC. It got quite warm, and we had to call multiple times to arrange for an additional fan, which was inconvenient. While other reviews sometimes highlight modern amenities, I found the apartment to be simply functional rather than offering any premium comforts for the cost.

Decent stay on the outskirts of Lucerne

It's a decent sized apartment to spend time with family. The view from the balcony is nice getting some views of the snow covered peaks.

The kitchen area is very small and the space is quite less for cooking and washing. No dishwasher. The Migros supermarket near the property closes early over the weekend (around 5pm i guess). The nearest express store is 15mins by walk. Need to consider in case arriving on a weekend or late evening to the property.

You get what you pay for, if you are their for the sports and need a cheap base, it will do.

Location to a large field, public transport and shopping, if I were there for a sporting event, which I believe these properties cater for and was a young athlete or a group of football supporters then this would suffice. Slept well in the end once I found the place had shutters.

One of the strangest buildings I have been in, reminded me of the 1960's social housing block with all the concrete hallways and entrance ways. The urine smell in the bathroom reminded me of a public toilet, needed a deep bleach clean of the tiles. If I hadn't been around a group of existing residents, the entry and use of the lifts is complex, notes from owners isn't detailed enough to explain the key has an electronic fob that you use to enter the building, and use the lifts. Each person who arrived seemed to have difficulty with the above, missing curtain in the bedroom had me worried until i figured out the place has electric shutters, a disappointing end to a great holiday, but I got what I paid for so have to take some of the blame.

It is a nice apartment with just the things you need to spend a good time in Lucerne, the public transportation is just around the corner and it is very efficient.

The check in time is too late, I would suggest to move it earlier although we were offered to store the luggage on the premises.

Overall brilliant apartment and will definitely recommend.

The location was perfect (away from the hustle and bustle). The bus stop was in front of the building 2 mins walk which takes you to Lucern Station. The property was clean and with all the amenities. Additional charging slots were provided.

Everything was good apart from the sofa bed, which was a bit fiddly; my son was sleeping on it and found it a little uncomfortable.

ts actually meant for sports accommodation staying near sport complex. The building was horrible with no ventilation on the corridor .As the kichen was close to the door you can smell e everyone cooking on the floor.

No A/C in this apartment. Bedroom was hot due to all windows exposed to sunlight during the day, but since none of the windows can be opened in the evening the bedroom stays hot. Shower has no glass doors which you would typically expect instead it uses cloth curtains causing water to come out from the shower. They say the unit has washer and dryer, but turns out they are the community ones shared by residents from the entire building. Plus you have to purchase detergent yourself somewhere else
