Craig Park House

A warm welcome, shown where everything was located and assisted with our luggage. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and included fresh fruit which was delicious. Billy gave us some excellent tips about local attractions and this enhanced our stay.

Nice stay with great hosts. Super comfortable bed and nice shower. Good breakfast. Location is in the middle of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Bathroom was small. Check in needs to be before 20:00. Make sure to check with the hosts as early as possible if you need to arrive late.

I stayed for 3 nights and My hosts Kay and Billy were delightful, and most interested in my travels. Breakfast each morning was served on a large antique dining table. I felt very comfortable in their home. The guest lounge was gorgeous and very quiet. It was lovely sitting there each night as I wrote my daily experiences on my Facebook page. The king size bed took up most of the room but I used both sides of the bed. There was a little table with a tray with tea, coffee etc and 2 little folding side tables available to use which was great so I used one to put my toiletry bag on as there wasn't a lot of room in the bathroom. There was a huge mirror in the room which was great. I am rather tall and the bathroom mirror was not very big. The shower was strong and hot, and very easy to use (not like many of my other accommodations that had complicated wizz-bang showers). There was plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe but could have done with a couple more hangers. The window was large and looked out onto the street.

The bathroom, although adequate, was very small and a bit hard to get into due to its size. It wouldn't suit a large framed person. It was hard to dry off in the tiny bathroom so I had to make sure that the window blind was down before I got in the shower so I could dry off in the room. The window only had a blind (no curtains), which meant there was no privacy so you either had to put up with people being able to see into the room, or keep the blind closed. A suggestion would be to have some curtains to give that little bit extra privacy.
