Iconic Santorini, a Boutique Cave Hotel by Sandglass

We had an incredible honeymoon stay and were very happy with everything. The heated pool was amazing, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. All the staff were wonderful, especially the reception team, who were very respectful and helpful. We were welcomed with wine, and they took care of our luggage from start to finish. A special thank you to Minto at the restaurant, who took great care of us during breakfast and throughout our stay. Our room was cleaned twice a day, and everything was perfect. We truly had an unforgettable honeymoon and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

We had booked our stay in Oia and decided to stay in Imerovigli for our final night. We were so glad that we did! Iconic Santorini is a magnificent hotel, and Imerovigli is a MUCH nicer area to stay that Oia, in our opinion. It is quieter, but still has plenty of restaurants and bars and the views are more iconically Santorini than in Oia. The only benefit to staying in Oia is that you can walk down to Ammoudi Bay, which is highly recommended. But you could get a taxi there from Imerovigli. The Iconic hotel were very accommodating of our family, who needed 3 rooms for one night (only booked the day before). We actually found that the rooms were all fairly similar, despite the different price points. So, if I were to stay again, I wouldn't necessarily go for the highest grade room (I think Caldera view?). They all had amazing views, and the beds were AMAZING!

The pool only opened at 11am, which seemed strange. It was very hot while we were there, and, despite having small private pools outside the rooms, we preferred to swim at the main pool together. We ended up getting in the pool at about 10.45am but I think it would be better if there was no pool closure in the morning (particularly given it's an adult only hotel, so unlikely that the swimming would be rowdy or disruptive).

Stunning location amazing views & chilled atmosphere .

The location is exceptional, the room is of the highest quality, and the service is impeccable. We loved every aspect of our stay.

We stayed for five nights, and everything was excellent. For a longer stay, however, it would be nice to see a greater variety at breakfast, including a wider selection of fresh salads and a choice of cakes or pastries to accompany the coffee.
