Tourist Farm Kranjc

If I were to rate Tourist Farm Kranjc on a scale between 1-10 with 10 being the best, I would give it a 20. It is an incredibly wonderful place to stay. First of all, the homemade food served is delicious. For breakfast, in addition to scrambled and fried eggs and cheese and salamis, there are homemade Slovenian style pancakes, homemade Slovenian dessert cakes, homemade bread, homemade yogurt, homemade teas, etc. The dinners are traditional Slovenian fare, a real treat. The architecture and ambiance of both indoor and outdoor dining areas are lovely. Though there were just 2 of us, we opted for Family Room 1 and enjoyed the spaciousness and views. It is a 3 generational operation. On a Saturday morning, you may see a boy helping out in the kitchen. The hosts are kind and were very helpful to us when we had a problem to solve.

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful and peaceful setting. The host is incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, going above and beyond to make sure every guest feels at home. My wife has several food allergies, and we were especially grateful that the meals were thoughtfully adapted to her needs. The food is truly something special: nearly all ingredients, both for breakfast and dinner, come either from the property’s own farm or from local farmers in the surrounding area. Breakfast is delicious, generous, and based on fresh seasonal and regional products. The three course dinner is equally outstanding and is an experience not to be missed. Places like this have become very rare. The combination of genuine hospitality, exceptional food, and a deep connection to the local region makes this a truly special place. Tourist Farm Kobarid is a stunning and peaceful place to stay, set in a beautiful small farming village surrounded by breathtaking scenery. A car is definitely needed, but the relaxing atmosphere and incredible mountain views make it well worth it. The rooms were very comfortable and exceptionally clean, and the breakfast each morning was lovely. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Very quiet and peaceful. Great hosts. Food was delicious including breakfast. This was an enjoyable stay.

Our bed was on a platform that needed stairs to access. The stairs were very squeaky and would wake up your partner if you needed to use the bathroom in the night.
