Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful, cozy pool

It’s not as private as it seems in the picture. You will have breakfast in the room, with your neighbors. Breakfast was good, but the choice is not huge

Such a peaceful place, quiet, relaxing. Breakfast is brought to your room, it is very good and enough, you can eat on your balcony. There are no flies or mosquitos, not even at night, we could leave the windows open. It is dark and quiet, you can sleep very well. There is a pool with a view to the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace. You can sit or get a sunbed in the garden or ask for a mat and do yoga. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is provided for your car, but there is a train from Lisbon which comes to Sintra, not worth coming by car, the road is very narrow and winding. The city is beautiful, everybody is kind, nice place to walk around, eat well, sit somewhere and relax.

We had to carry our luggage on some stairs, but it was not so bad. There is no air-conditioning in the rooms, however they are not needed most of the time. The room was a bit small.

The view of the mountains from the pool area was nice.

The rooms look nothing like they do online, they are small and outdated. The grounds was also neglected as the pool was not cleaned and had missing tiles. They didn't seem to care about the landscaping either, outside of our room felt like a cheap campground. It was supposed to be a city escape and we thought the rooms and grounds would be immaculate like in the photos and it's as if they took the pictures then never did another thing to maintain it. Also, the lawnchairs were uncomfortable with no cushions. The parking should be free and they charge 10 euros. They also charge you a late fee of 20-30 euros if you check in after 6:30pm!
