The Águamel is a quaint and unique place to stay while in Sintra, hidden away from the main tourist noise. At least that was how it was for us when we stayed in February. Of course, any stay is only as good as the other guests who share the hotel with you.
The breakfast was lovely, albeit a tad later (served at 9) than we would prefer. The selection of food was plentiful and very yummy.

Very close to the historic center and restaurants. Clear access info provided via email ahead, having no issue getting in. But no reception after hours, be prepared. There was cake and nata left in kitchen, very nice.
The room is clean, a large bottle of water in room. Shower and toilet are glassed areas inside the room. You have to dry and dress in front of your travel partner. The vanity is a bit too small.
The breakfast is well prepared. We need to leave very early, and the lady was so kind to prepare our breakfast and left in the fridge for us the night before. She also pointed us to the spot close by for free parking. The space frees up late in the night and early in the morning (before 8) and fills up quickly. Otherwise, parking is a bit headache in Sintra.

Hotel was wonderfully charming. Spacious rooms with character. Staff were outstanding. Location was central. They stored our bags. We loved this hotel!! Highly recommend
