If you are looking for air conditioning and 24 hour service this place is not for you however if you are in search of the authentic French experience in a charming and beautifully decorated manor house with a delightful hostess, then I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The breakfast was a particular highlight.
It was very hot when we were there and the bedroom is situated at the top of a tower with a narrow winding staircase. This was not a problem for us but it is something to bear in mind if you have mobility issues.

It was a beautiful old mansion. The decorations were vantage style. It’s close to Loire River, with a big garden, and back to a forest. The hostess was trying her best to speak English.
There is no shower for my booking. She had to ask the gentleman upstairs to spare me his shower. Although the answer was yes, it was strange to ask me to wash in the basin after a few hours cycling. On booking it stated shared showers.
The bread was not fresh. There were plenty of jam though.
There was no restaurant near by. There was no fridge facilities. She helped me to put a bottle of wine and some food in her private fridge. The glamorous photo of the beautiful dining table is private too.
