Outdated hotel with several needs for renovations & improvements.

I was nostalgic as I had spent more than one week in Drim Hotel when I was a kid and wanted to bring my family now to enjoy it and see how the hotel changed over the years, however, it seemed like the hotel had stuck in time.... + Location is perfect, in front of Ohrid Lake a few meters away from Drin river. Its also just a 5 mins walk from Struga centre, thus, compared to othe properties its excellent. + Breakfast was good with a variety of choices (however not as good as used to be few years ago) + Bar Staff very nice and polite

- Bad wifi signal with several disconnections and low speed - Dinner - very poor and the food was not tasty at all with a few choices only, certainly not good for the price paid in Struga since this is one of the most expensive properties. - Room - Not renovated, very old, toilet with a noise aspirator, room lighting was poor. - Crib - The crib was not flat because it was very old and it had an angle, so my toddler suffered a bit while sleeping. - Restaurant Staff - The waiters in the restaurants could not speak Enligh and it was very hard to understand them and they were rude to some extent.

All the good and the bad in hotel Drim Struga

The location, the view from the room, the cleanness, the garden from the hotel to the beach. One night at the dinner, there was traditional group playing oro, which we much enjoyed.

No spa, no bowling alley, no open swimming pool, the sun umbrellas were noisy repaired during the stay of the guests on the beach, so everyone had to move from one umbrella to another. The interior of the rooms and halls is falling apart, the bed sheets were with holes. The staff made a mistake with our booking at the very beginning - we booked and payed half board, nevertheless they entered us in their system as bed and breakfast, so we had to correct their mistake after our dinner. In fact, they asked us to show our booking on Booking.com - that shows that the hotel itself has no evidention at all! The food was modest, and nothing was refiled, so who ate, ate. If you go a bit later for a meal, you will be eating leftovers that no one ate. There were no nuts (any type, not even peanuts), no dried fruit, and aside from salamis, no deli (no bacon, no dried neck, no "pechenica"). The honey was suspicious, I think it was a fake honey, but there were bigger problems aside from honey. No good value for the money.

Hotel Drim stay

The room was clean and the facilities were good. Fantastic location.

I think there were weddings at the hotel on every night of our stay. Which is a truly wonderful thing in itself, but the music was so loud until the early hours of the morning, it caused quite a few issues trying to get to sleep. I recommend sound proofing the main venue rooms.

The room was huge, felt like a whole studio apartment, not a hotel room. A huge wardrobe closet, a work desk, lots of drawers. 4. The design of the hotel is a dream, the whole lobby has two huge tropical trees that go up through all the flors.

Disappointing

Plenty of parking spaces and it's free. Service staff are nice. Sheets and towels are clean.

It's smoky inside the building. Everyone and everything smells like cigarettes. Also, the room is old and very basic for the resort price. The shower has black mold. The advertised amenities were not available when we stayed there. Such as laundry service, dinner, spa, pool, and breakfast buffet. Management was tough to work with and didn't reply to Booking.com staff about our change request. We had to leave a day early due to work and flight schedule change.
