Hotel Zum Weißen Roß

Für 1 Nacht völlig in Ordnung. Es war kein Personal da, aber self check in hat wunderbar funktioniert. Das Zimmer war sauber, zentral gelegen.

It’s a great location in the centre of Winsen. We visited because we stayed here several years ago when the hotel and restaurant were fully open. There is good parking for the hotel and the room is spacious. It’s quiet and the town itself has good shops and places to eat. The recommendation for the local bakery for breakfast is great and definitely worth a visit. The bathroom is really clean and there is a tv in the room.

It was a shame that the restaurant/pub was closed and seems to have been for some time now. This meant that check in was completed by a member of staff leaving the keys to the rooms on a table outside which meant there was no real contact with the hotel at all. It would have been handy to have a tea/coffee station in the room or a vending machine for hot drinks. There is no AC in this hotel which was only a problem because we were there on a very hot day.
