Great place, expensive but worth the money overall

The interior and exterior were beautiful, as well as the rooms itself and the view from the room is stunning.

The water pressure in the showers weren’t great, the shower water also frequently switched from freezing to scolding without turning the heat up or down, the sink plug got stuck and had to call maintenance. The tv had sound but no picture but staff sorted it after asking twice.

Comfortable hotel, slightly dated, needs modernising. But handy for the airport

The room, though dated was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and excellent shower. The pool and leisure facilities were great, though the steam room wasn't working. It is situated close to the airport which was the main reason for my stay.

I arrived around 8pm from a long day travelling, I went for a nap and woke up around 10pm. There was no possibility of any food at this time, which was surprising, not even room service. I was then promptly told that I was prohibited from ordering any food to be delivered to the hotel. I therefore had to go out in the rain to locate somewhere to eat. This policy really needs looking at as this experience significantly tainted my stay.

Breakfast was nice, not incredible, but nice. The dinner was incredible! However a bit more variety would’ve been good.

The steam room was dangerous! Steam coming out of pipes at the backs of your knees on the benches!

The people that work there were extremely nice, which made things a lot better.

The carpets were extremely dirty and it gave us a very uncomfortable feeling staying there, but the room was actually very nice. If the carpets were clean, it would have been a different experience.

the taps in the bath need a good clean as does the overflow the hot water was a bit hit and miss the safe didn't work and the door was open on arrival so you have to really slam it to get it to shut correctly

Excellent food both at breakfast and in the evening. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Bed was comfortable.

The hotel lobby could do with a little refurbishment as it looked a bit tired and there were some paint and cobwebs needing attended to.

The Room was clean.

We honestly cannot understand how this hotel got its 4 stars. From the outside, it looks like a dump (see photos). The food was okay, but definitely not 4-star food. The gentlemen at the reception were rather unfriendly, and we did not feel welcome. The swimming pool exists, but one of the two saunas was out of order and the other was very small. 200 euros per night per person for this hotel is an absolute joke.

Great stay, large rooms, great location

we had a family room - which was a great size for the three of us travelling. Great locatiion close to Crow Park stadium The buffalo chicken wings in the restaurant were amazing! :)

Sadly the standalone shower in the room was out of order however there was a shower within the bath tub.

stayed for 2 nights,we were at a concert and figured it would be dearer than normal but it was exceptionally dear..it was double the price of the following weekend the hotel was satisfactory but hardly a 4 star parts of the hotel were very dated staff were courteous but not friendly or informative,they never even mentioned the leisure centre

Perfect period property with plenty of amenities

The location, breakfast and amenities were all great. The room was spacious. The restaurant and bar attached were very useful. The pool is actually part of a larger fitness center and it was beautiful.

The room was very warm (in August) but to be fair the hotel provided a fan which helped a lot.

A leisurely day spent in and around the hotel

I particularly enjoyed the gym, pool and jacuzzi. I ate at the hotel. I walked to the botanic gardens, the gravediggers pub and ate dinner at the Washer woman.

Friendly staff

Room very dirty when we checked in, alongside being sweltering hot. When I advised reception of lack of cleanliness and heat of room they did move us to alternate room with air con & it was clean. No room service for breakfast. And breakfast finished at 10am in restaurant. Please keep in mind this room cost us €555 for the 1 night.

Handy & Comfy

Smooth check-in, great location for the airport and DCU. It was quiet at night, the beds were super comfy, great nights sleep, rooms kept very clean. Spacious rooms with a view. Excellent food options in the Croft & McGettigans sports bar. Staff were nice and helpful Teresa at breakfasts was a star always looking out for the kids - mine too, for pancakes. Reception also very kindly swopped out a desk chair for an office chair so I was at the right height for the desk in our room to work remote for our stay while my son was in summer school.

There is a pinch point at breakfasts at the coffee's with people coming and going for cereal/ hot food etc and again at the toasters, You do have to cross back and forth at good bit, it's not as good a process flow as it could be.... and when folk are waiting on toast or to get a coffee it blocks both entry and exits. A bit of thought and this could be an easy fix.

I just don’t know if I’d give that money to stay there again

I liked the location I thought the hotel was spotless and very modern

I didn’t like the fact when you arrive in the room there was no water I paid €270 for one night not even water in the room I had to buy two bottles in the bar for €7 which was madness also I found one of the staff when checking out so rude was no need for it I know it was busy but I had given a lot of money for one night and just annoyed me

Temperatures were high during our visit. This made the fourth floor, a little uncomfortable. However, the window opened and it cooled down at night and the fan in the room was very helpful.
