The staff did accommodate us well, by letting us store our luggage before check in time, even taking them to the room for us. I think if we had spoken Spanish the first staff person might have been more friendly. The rooms were small but had a private bath, with good storage and it was clean and well lite. It felt safe and there was a good restaurant right next door. It was located about a 15-20 minute walk from most of the historic sites.
The staff was not often seen or and did not make us feel very welcome, though all the ammediates they offered were provided.

Location was good with a cafe for breakfast next door. We were able to leave our suitcases at the hostal until we went to the station which was extremely helpful.

The location was great. Everything you might need or want is 15min walk. Plenty of places around to get a great breakfast.
We had a ground floor room near the elevator and it was very loud. The room was very small, had no externally facing windows, uncomfortable layout, the beds were weirdly short, the wifi worked only outside the room. The staff showed below minimum efforts to find ways of communication since we didn't share the language.
