Apartments Villa Ana

The host was exceptionally welcoming and flexible. Excellent communication before my arrival and was quick to find solutions when my plans changed. The apartment was spotless and contained everything you'd need and the view from the balcony was lovely. The town is a 10 minute walk at most which gives you ample choice of bars, restaurants and cafés. Can unequivocally recommend!

There is absolutely nothing that I personally didn't like about this apartment but it is worth pointing out 2 things as these may bother others. (Bearing in mind that these are both to do with location so are not the fault of the property). Firstly, Cavtat is located close to Dubrovnik airport (around 10 mins by taxi), as a result, aircraft fly directly over the top creating noise that some might object to. The apartment seemed pretty well insulated against this noise and my sleep wasn't disturbed and this is pretty much inescapable when staying in Cavtat! Secondly, Cavtat is situated at the bottom of a hill. Villa Ana is located just a short walk from town, but to afford such great views, that walk is inevitably uphill. There are choices in terms of taking a steeper shortcut or following the winding road up to lessen the gradient, but the walk back from town is unavoidably uphill. In fairness, most of the accommodation in Cavtat will require a climb of some description.

Lovely and clean, good location to head down to the beach and restaurants

The hostess was very welcoming and pleasant, waiting for us to check in even after our late arrival. The apartment is simply magnificent! It has everything you need for a wonderful stay. But the biggest surprise was the huge balcony-terrace with sun loungers and a magnificent view! It's a short walk to the sea (mind a steep hill). However, even these efforts will lead to beautiful view from the balcony. I must add that the room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the linens were fresh and pleasantly scented. A bakery with excellent pastries and shops are also nearby. A great option for a stay in beautiful Cavtat!

Personally for me, everything was wonderful! Someone might not like that there is no washing machine in this apartment, but it wasn't a problem at all for us.

It was very near to the gorgeous Cavtat centre .. just a walk down the hill .. a bit of a strenuous walk back up for some perhaps but we loved it. A bus is available. Beautiful views.. even from our ground floor apartment which was very spacious. A bedroom and bathroom each. The owner Zeljka was lovely and friendly and had kept in touch with us before our arrival. We were able to check in early which was very welcome.

It wasn’t a problem most of the time but occasionally we noticed a smell from maybe the drains in the bathrooms or kitchen. Nothing too bad though.
