Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa

the people were very friendly. the staff spoke english which was great. the pools were kid friendly since they started shallow and were not all deep. there was nighltly entertainment which was fun and super cheesy. like really bad cover band level, some dude that blew bubbles, stuff like that - but it made it fun.

here is the reality. as a US tourist with family (kids 8 and 6) 1. this place appears to be heavily visited by older german tourists. we sort of joked it was a retirement community. 2. the pools were good temp and fine, but there were some expsosed metal pieces where they need to clean up the pool and fix some of the areas. 3. the beach was just completely covered with that seaweed type stuff to the point that we didnt even go there. just felt dirty. maybe they cleaned it and it just came back, but it was like that consistently. 4. the pool area wasnt monitored. you had a people that put towels down seemingly at 7am and never showed up. every day we would get there at different time and stay for 4 or so hours - you would have masses of chairs covered with towels without people. 5. it's buffet style breakfast and dinner. there is a lot of variety - but that's not necessarily a good thing. my kids liked it because there was a lot of desert options. however, the actual food wasnt great - to the point where even though it was included, i wanted to go off property to eat. 6. location - not great - you are sort of isolated in the area without many things to do. there is a market next door which was nice, but that's about the extent of it. 7. it's starting to look like an older resort - so maybe a little expectation setting here. when you first walk in, it just looks like mid to late 80s or early 90s. same in the bathroom of the rooms. we had the 1 bedroom suite - so 2 bathrooms which was great, but made it feel like we are going back in time. 8. Smoking - it's europe, people smoke....but where people are seated to eat? they should probably not allow that.

The cleaning staff knocked the door once and entered. Even with a no enter sign I am greatful they had cava for my birthday but twice I was not dressed. Embarrassing. Please just knock and wait 15 to 20 seconds regardless.

Staff was helpful, made our stay super comfortable since check in. The pool is really nice, for adults and kids. Breakfast with loads of options. Room comfortable and with a lot of space.
