This place is located near by the central station of Hamburg and it’s walkable . And it is walkable for the all the tourists attractions from the hotel. And the breakfast buffet was great. There were issues that we faced are one is there was only one lift was operating during our stay and we had to take stairs all the way up and down to 4th floor . Even the elevator can hold only 2 persons comfortably. And it was very loud noice outside rooms from the other guest . Most of them were students I guess . Other than that everything was perfect .

The property offers an excellent location with friendly staff, making the stay very comfortable.

Stayed here for one night during my trip to Hamburg. The location is quite good, around a 13 minute walk from Hamburg Central Station. Considering how close it is to the station, I think the price is reasonable. The main downside is the condition of the building and the rooms. I understand that it is a hostel and I was not expecting anything luxurious, but the building feels quite old and there does not seem to have been much modernisation. I have stayed at other A&O hostels before, and compared to those, this one felt noticeably older. Another big problem was the lifts. For a 7 storey building, there are only two lifts, and each one can take around 3 people at a time. Unfortunately, one of them was not working during our stay. Since it was a weekend and the hostel was quite busy, there were a lot of people waiting for the only working lift. We were staying on the 6th floor, so we had to wait quite a long time whenever we wanted to go up or down. With luggage, it was especially inconvenient. I stayed in a 4 bed room with my family. There were two single beds and one bunk bed. The two single beds were properly prepared, but the bunk bed did not have bed sheets or pillow covers. I assume the housekeeping team simply forgot to prepare it. The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. There were some basic options like bread and cornflakes, but not a lot of variety. There were only two types of juice and just one type of fruit, which was apple. Overall, I would say the location and price are the best things about this hostel. The building and rooms definitely need some updating, and the lift situation was quite frustrating during a busy weekend. Still, considering the price I paid and the location, I would give it 3.5 out of 5.

Convoluted check in process using desktop screens with one very competent female staff assisting 20 guests at 8:00pm. Stairs to enter. One elevator in operation (fit for two pax with luggage). Grubby entrance! Locked disabled bathroom near hostel’s restaurant. Finally allocated a twin bed room which was uncomfortable and poorly lit. Beds foam rubber. No air con. Shower inaccessible. This place is a disaster! Moved to ***branded hotel for*** a night more. Avoid like the Plague!
