    ​If you are looking for the perfect base to explore Hamburg, this is it! The location is absolutely unbeatable—we were within easy walking distance of the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), major tourist sights, and tons of fun local bars. ​What We Loved: ​Spacious Rooms: You get plenty of space to unpack, unwind, and actually feel comfortable, which is a massive plus for a central city spot. ​A Chef’s Kitchen on a Budget: If you love hitting up Hamburg's incredible local markets for fresh ingredients, you will love the kitchen here. It is fully equipped and perfect for cooking up your own meals to save a little cash. ​The Perfect Social Balance: It offers the best of both worlds. You have all the privacy you need, but the property maintains a super friendly, communal living vibe that makes it easy to feel right at home. ​Highly recommend for anyone wanting a vibrant, central, and budget-friendly Hamburg experience. We would absolutely stay here again!

    All in all there were no problems, though I feel that the hotel is trying to do too much with the decor and "being cool" In that they have let slip the basic things such as screws loose on bathrooms door locks, could have had better noise insulation and could have more places to store your things. However, we had a pleasant stay

    For the first, reception staff who I met (1 man/ 1 woman) were friendly and kind people. But 1hour before checking out time, other staff guy knocked my door loudly and opened the door suddenly and said something with German. I didn’t know what happened, no way.

    I would not stay here again. The property is advertised as City Surfer, but the building signage says The Room.44, with nothing clearly connecting the two names. I arrived with luggage in 34°C heat and spent at least 15 minutes walking around trying to find the entrance. The self-check-in process was extremely disorganised. Agoda removed the external access link, yet the property repeatedly resent the same unusable link instead of simply sending the necessary information by message or SMS. The promised locked luggage storage was also not properly explained, and no combination had been provided beforehand. The listing showed a swimming pool, but it was completely empty and contained an old broken boat. Agoda states that checkout is at 12:00, while the property’s own message says 10:00, and the shared showers were closed for cleaning around 09:30. The listing also did not disclose that the property would place a €250 security deposit hold on my card. Overall, the listing was misleading and the communication and check-in process were extremely amateur and unnecessarily stressful.
