Great hotel with lovely rooms, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel, lovely spacious, clean room with huge bathroom and beautiful views. Very friendly, helpful staff and excellent breakfast.

It was unfortunate that the restaurant was closed for our stay, it was one of the reasons we booked the hotel. I had checked that the restaurant was open on a Friday and Saturday night but I had not emailed the hotel to check for our specific dates. I think also the housekeeping staff were away as the room was not cleaned the next day and the two tea bags that were there on the first night were not replace for the following morning. Having said that we would definitely return as it was a lovely hotel.

An excellent, reception. Friendly and she helped me to find the accommodation extremely well. Clean und warm, it made the morning really pleasant to wake up and see the small village. Breakfast warm tasteful und a variety 😊😊

We just loved it!

The place is very cozy and charming, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, breakfast is great! Perfect stay if you want to explore Schwarzwald and go for hikes in the area!

Quirky, cozy hotel

Little, quirky, cozy hotel. Staff was super nice, specious warm rooms with comfortable beds. Good hot shower. Wonderful selection at breakfast. We stayed here for one night with disabled mum and a little dog. We were happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel if you like family atmosphere and vintage decor.

Carpark is quite tight but there was one place left for us as we arrived late.

We were planning to do the B500 through the black Forrest and for this the location was fantastic , air conditioning was fantastic as it was hot and humid

Great place to explore the vineyards and only a bus ride into Baden Baden. Due to a bit of confusion our room was upgraded which made the stay even better.

One night in the country

Beautiful views of the countryside outside our windows

Many stairs to climb , with crutches it wasn’t easy. Very little tea/coffee facilities . We were 3 people but only got 2 cups, no spoons, no milk

Heaven on Earth!

The property was absolutely stunning! The room was very large and very comfortable. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. We arrived late and were offered a small meal even though the kitchen had just closed. The breakfast was amazing with homemade meatballs and potato salad in addition to the eggs, beans, fresh cutlets, and cheese. Everything about this property is breathtaking. We spent the morning watching the sun rise over the vineyard with hot mugs of tea. Afterwards, we enjoyed one of several recommended hikes through the forest. I recommend this place to anyone contemplating a stay in the Black Forest

The restaurant was very good and the owner/ manager even rustled up some lunch for us when we returned after a long walk. Easy bus journey into Baden Baden and great walks in the village.

Our room in the annexe had a musty smell.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. Lovely little hotel, the room was nice. Upgraded to a balcony room, which was well worth it. Breakfast was very good. Will definitely stay again.

Bedsheets could have been cleaner and something with information in the room such as breakfast timings would have been helpful.

Nice place in the Baden-Baden area

Large and very clean room, very good beds. We had an apartment as we were traveling with our kids. This was large and very comfortable. Best hotel pillows I ever had! Personnel very friendly, positive and the whole atmosphere of in the hotel is just so nice. We were there for one night, on our way back from holiday. And we had the feeling that we would have liked to stay longer. Wonderful village, very nice views on the Black Forest. It was very warm weather so the airco was really nice to have. We could eat outside in the garden and the food was delicious and served with a smile.

Great hotel for a short stay near Baden Baden

Lovely hotel in a small village with eassy access to Baden Baden. The room was very comfortable with great facilities. The hotel has an excellent restaurant with a good menu. There is a beer garden which was very relaxing after a days drive. Breakfast was included with a very good selection of hot and cold dishes.

Clean and efficient, if a little expensive

Very friendly staff in this establishment. Family room was very spacious and really a small apartment, with three rooms.

A little old fashioned decor and relatively expensive compared to say, an AirBnB. Bed was extremely noisy (flinch, and it squeaked!) and the beds were very low to the floor - fine for me but could be problematical for others.

Fantastic stay!

For us this place was perfect! We wanted somewhere we could use as a base to explore the Black Forest and this ticked all the boxes. Really good breakfast, lovely staff, quaint and comfortable room and the dinners were really good too. Would highly recommend and the price we paid was great.
