First class location, gite equipped to a very high tasteful standard, and super hosts.

Everything was excellent as usual

If I were to be extremely picky, as there is only two of us we use the wonderful comfortable bed for sleeping. So we use the other sofa bed only as a seat and its not very comfortable ( however I appreciate that a family would need both places for sleeping). However there is one wonderful armchair, which we take turns with.

Garden is beautiful and it is very quiet.

The pull out bed was very uncomfortable and wasn’t made, also there was next to nowhere to put clothes so we had four suitcases on the floor.

Fantastic location, and gite. Although it was an extremely hot day, the host had made sure all shutters were closed, and left a bottle of chilled water for us, how thoughtful.

Amazing setting & beautiful grounds. Dog friendly.

The location is absolutely amazing. Set in huge grounds, very quiet and rural. The owner / lady who runs the property was first class. I get delayed and arrived after midnight yet she was up and checked me in without any issue.

A comfy house in a beautiful location.

A lovely little house in a beautiful spot. Very peaceful and scenic. Sadly we were only passing through but we would happily stay again, next time for longer! Interesting monastic ruins over the stream from the house. Owners were very friendly.

Great place to relax and enjoy a sense of history in a beautiful rural setting

The location is really enchanting, it has a historical feel to it that comes with the presence of the old abbey, older than the Nôtre Dame we learned from our host. When sitting outside in front of the house, the wild flowers and the garden lined by beatiful trees really put your mind at rest after a long day driving. The classic looks of the inside of the house fit the environment. Still it has al the modern comfort we needed. Communication with the host was excellent, she came to greet us and hand over the key when we arrived. It was an overnight stop for us, but I can imagine spending a bit longer here can be quite enjoyable.

When we prepared the sofa bed for our boys we had to get rid of some cobwebs - I take it it's because that sofa bed is not used that much and nobody has discovered that before, because other than that, the place was quite clean.

Balade impossible, ouvert à la chasse!

Emplacement magnifique Maison spacieuse Accueil très rapide Cuisine bien équipée Jolie salle de bain Nous avons pu rester un peu plus tard le dimanche

À notre arrivée, on nous a dit que les 400 hectares environnant la maison nous étaient totalement libres d'accès. Nous sommes venus juste pour un week-end, nous avions manifesté notre besoin de calme, or le dimanche matin 8h, à peine les volets ouverts, il y avait un groupe de chasseurs avec gilets oranges, fusils et chiens, parlant fort , sur les marches du bâtiment historique. Coups de fusil, aucune tranquillité et ils avaient même placé un panneau " Chasse en cours" bloquant carrémment l'accès à la clairière! Les 400 ha sont autorisés à la chasse et cela ne nous a aucunement été signalé, c'est honteux. Nous avons le sentiment clair d'avoir été pris pour des pigeons , nous n'avons pas apprécié DU TOUT de nous faire gâcher notre séjour et notre argent. Ça a totalement pourri notre dimanche alors que nous avions prévu de nous y balader, on l'avait choisi à ce titre. En réalité l'endroit est carrémment un fief pour les chasseurs: sur notre trajet voiture pour aller marcher ailleurs, nous avons croisé des tas de voitures de chasseurs, loin d'être agréables, prenant toute la route et vous regardant de travers de façon à ce que vous compreniez que vous n'avez rien à faire là. Conseil avisé: appellez avant de réserver, demandez s'il y a des parties de chasse à vos dates.S'il y en a, adresse à fuir. Concernant la literie, si vous avez l'habitude de matelas mous, aucun souci.Si comme nous vous êtes biens sur de bons matelas plus fermes , vous aurez mal au dos,c'est très mou.

Een zo luid was de stilte nooit eerder adresje om te onthouden

De uitzonderlijke locatie en rijke geschiedenis van het domein. Je voelt de rijke geschiedenis van de Abbaye er nog hangen ! . De stilte daar is overweldigend! Ook de gastvrouw en gastheer zijn charmante en warme interessante mensen . Prachtige bomen zeldzame rozenstruiken en mooi netjes onderhouden. Fijn om in te wandelen en ook de hond is welkom Privacy en parking aan je huisje . alles wat je in huis nodig hebt is aanwezig. Het huis is netjes en proper. Er staan ligzetels en tuintafel ter beschikking.

Het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. ! Maar is een beetje gedateerd. de omgeving en de hele redelijke prijs maken dit alles goed.

Le cadre exceptionnel, verdoyant et apaisant. Un havre de paix, lieu reposant, paysage d'une douceur incomparable. Le calme, visuel et auditif, juste le chant des oiseaux. Du bonheur. La sympathie et la discrétion des hôtes. Tous commerces à proximité, juste quelques kilomètres en voiture. Barbecue très apprécié.

Matelas un peu trop mou. Acceptable pour quelques nuits.
