My partner, me and my dog stayed here twice; once for two nights on our way through France and the second time for three nights on our way home. The owner Olivier met us when we arrived and he was very friendly and showed us around the property. The cottage has been nicely converted and is very clean and well equipped. The cottage is only 5 minutes from Vouvray and lots of lovely villages and Châteaux are within 30 minutes by car. We thought that charging 120 euros for cleaning and linen for each stay was a bit expensive but we agreed with the owner to only pay once as we stayed twice within a two week period. It would be better to increase the daily rate to cover the cost of the cleaning and linen which is what we did at the other Vrbo property we stayed at in Haute Savoie. The only other minor thing is that the property listing says there is allotted parking for the cottage but in fact the space is also used by local residents and visitors so we had to park on the road sometimes. Overall we had a lovely stay here and it’s a great base to visit this part of the Loire valley.

The gite is a lovely modern conversion of an old farmhouse and is very well equipped and well situated being only 5 minutes from Vouvray and lots of châteaux within 30 minutes by car. Olivier the owner met us when we arrived and he was very friendly and showed us around the property. It is a lovely place to stay but the price for linen and cleaning per stay is expensive. However, we managed to agree with the owner to only pay once for linen and cleaning as we had two short stays within a two week period. It would be better to increase the daily rental to include the linen and cleaning which was the arrangement at the other Vrbo property we stayed at in France on the same holiday. There is some train noise from the nearby TGV line so we closed the bedroom windows in the evening. The only other minor thing is that allocated parking is shown in the property description but in fact this is shared parking with local residents and other visitors so we had to park on the road sometimes. Overall a lovely place to stay and in a great position to visit this part of the Loire valley.

We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The village was pleasant and the gardens we came to see were within an easy drive. Our host was accommodating and cheerful--even brought us an exquisite bottle of wine. It was a perfect beginning to our trip. We hated to leave.

Das kleine Häuschen liegt am Rande der Stadt Vouvray. Über zwei Etagen findet sich unten die Wohnküche und das Bad und oben zwei Schlafzimmer. Das Haus ist für 6 Personen ausgewiesen, allerdings sollte man maximal zu viert sein, sonst wird es einfach zu eng. Der Außenbereich des Gites ist sehr klein. Hier ist es soeben möglich einen Tisch für vier Personen aufzustellen. Eine Zufahrt gibt es nicht, das Auto muss ca. 40 m vom Haus entfernt geparkt werden. Da es nur einen sehr steilen Weg zum Haus gibt, kann das Ein- und Ausladen mühselig werden. Wir haben mit einer Ausnahme ausschließlich schriftlichen Kontakt zu den Vermietern gehabt. Als wir ankamen waren diese nicht da, der Schlüssel wurde von einem Bekannten überreicht. Auch später schauten sie nicht bei uns vorbei, obwohl man mehr oder weniger Tür an Tür gewohnt hat. Die Endreinigung wurde mit einer hohen Gebühr berechnet. Eine stolze Summe, auch vor dem Hintergrund, dass wir zwei Hunde dabei hatten. Wir hoffen, dass dieses Geld jetzt dafür genutzt werden das Haus in einen Zustand zu versetzen, in dem wir es gerne vorgefunden hätte. Ggf. räumt man die Unterwäsche eines Vorgängers aus den Kommoden oder reinigt einmal gründlich den Herd oder die Abzugshaube. Nein, wir hatten andere Vorstellungen. Aber immerhin kamen wir als Eisenbahnfreunde auf den Genuss stündlich mehrere TGV's der Linie Bordeaux-Paris aus nächster Nähe zu beobachten.

Gîte très cosi, avec une bonne literie. Correctement équipé avec même un lave vaisselle en dessous du four. Gîte très bien situé pour aller visiter des châteaux. Au cœur du domaine viticole, pas très loin des vignes mais pas de vue directe sur les vignes. Dommage que la ligne TGV passe à hauteur des fenêtres... amis au sommeil sensible, gîte à éviter... pour les autres, gîte recommandé !

We met in this place for a week of a German-Canadian family reunion & vacation. The house may not be fancy at first sight, but it provides everything you need for an enjoyable week in the vineyards. If you are interested in the art of winemaking, this is your place: Olivier, our landlord and winemaker, invited us for a taste down to his "personal cave" and offered to show us where they store the wine during the originating phase, how they bottle it and finally put their labels on and make it ready for sales... what a difference to our (paid !) tour in one of the vineyards close by. Olivier and his wife took care that we had everything we needed and that we felt welcome and good in their gite and despite my bad French we had a lot of fun together. Would I come here again? Definitely, without a minute of hesitation!

Superbe séjour, les propriétaires sont très sympa et chaleureux malgré les orages qui venaient de ravager leurs vignes :-( . c'est un drame. Nous avons était pris en charge par leur fille qui rayonne de bonheur, et qui est vraiment adorable elle transmet sa joie de vivre. La dégustation des vins étaient bien faite, la petite bouteille au frais à notre arrivée a été apprécié, nous avons même dérangé le soir pour en avoir d'autres, et avons été servie sans problème.La visite du domaine super...Enfin bref à refaire et à conseiller. MERCI

Lit bb sur place qui nous a pas mal dépanné ,cela nous a allégé nos bagages car nous en avons emmené qu'un du coup car nous avns 2 petites qui dorment encore dedans. Que dire a part un grand merci .

Gîte très agréable, très propre, rien ne manque. Les propriétaires acceuillants et sympathiques ainsi que leur fille qui est partie prenante. Un petit bénol vraiment minime: l'accés au gîte, un peu gênant pour le port des bagages, ou des glacières pour le pique nique. Je le recommande sans problème.

2ème séjour en toute connaissance.Très bon accueil chaleureux (bouquet de fleurs dans le gîte propre, disponibilité, visite de la cave). Possibilités de distraire des enfants à proximité (piscine, parc d attraction). Visites touristiques à la demande (châteaux, maisons troglodytiques, excursions en bâteau sur la Loire, promenades à pieds). On y revient!

Le gite en lui même est très bien, très bien équipé aussi. Bon accueil, dégustation des vins, visite de la cave, c'est un plus très sympathique. Mais attention la maison est très proche de la voie ferrée. Très bonne isolation phonique par contre. Les chambres sont très mansardées, personnes de grande taille d'abstenir.
