Stunning building big large rooms good location bit overpriced if im honest

Beautiful building big spacious room very clean

No wardrobes at all or bedside cabinets had a few hangers in cupboard were mini bar was lived out suitcases for 3 nights ..if u was staying longer would struggle ..was loads of space to put wardrobes...also personally I thought the bed was very uncomfortable struggled to sleep and had a bad back end of stay ...breakfast wasn't great either and expensive £50 euro for 2 ppl continental style

Too much design and no pratical instalations

Very modern, pleasant location.

Besides the design, the room is not very practical. No air con, no full size mirror. The bathroom gets all wet if you shower.. The sink is very shalow, everything gets wet, and if you have toiletries, you have to put ir on the floor. Breakfast is restrict .

Aesthetic of the hotel and building itself is stunning. Restaurant is on the square and we had a fine meal there. It was very busy - book in advance.

Room was a little on the small side. Getting access late was problematic for us, luckily someone was available to help.

Stylish, comfortable hotel in a quiet, pretty square not far from the centre

An elegant neo-Gothic building turned into a hotel with lots of atmosphere and a contemporary, designer vibe. It’s in a quiet square (which once had a cloister) right opposite one of the city’s gems, the Romanesque church of St Gereon, and just a ten minute walk from the cathedral. Right next door is a good, and stylish, Italian restaurant. My room was very comfortable, the staff are helpful and enthusiastic. The bar/breakfast room with its large windows is a particularly pleasant and relaxing space for a coffee after a hard day’s sightseeing.

The cupboard in my room seemed to be designed for tall people who travel with few clothes. The breakfast offer would benefit from more than one type of egg (boiled). But neither of these things would prevent me from returning!

Impressive building, very friendly staff, especially the lady at the reception upon arrival. room really clean, good shower, separate toilet, minibar. good location in between mediapark and city center, with public parking space close by.

not sure how it will be in summer, as there is no airconditioning, and we had a room at the top floor. it would be nice to have coffee facilities in the room, which is something simple but improves the overall experience. Breakfast was nice, but it is probably not sustainable to have 1 person having to serve coffee for all, and providing the set of charcuterie for all separately. Probably better to have a full buffet, ensure a coffee machine, and also provide some scrambled egg and bacon for example.

The very positive experience started at check in, with a really helpful lady. The building is a fantastic renovation of an old building, beautifully done. The breakfast was charming, super friendly staff, very nice environment.

Nothing to complain about at all, this really is a great place to stay.

horrible hotel. dont even consider this hotel!

leaving this horrible place and going back. home.

no elevator, broken WIFI, hot room, broken airco half the electrical outlets are malfunctioning, no english speaking personell, lied about parking arrangements (scammed me, at least they tried to. go park in park in "parkhaus ring karree" for 10 euro a day) small room, nowhere to put things, only a bed and no furniture. (live off the floor) no hot water in the mornings and evenings. unnanounced but planned maintenance on the descaling installation, so salt water from the tap for hours. outlets in unhandy places. drunk people screaming under your window all night. no vieuw from the tiny window, just the next building. when you do take a cold shower, you flood the room because of the bad design

this is an expensive hotel, and there were a couple of basic issues - wifi not working for the whole weekend, and often no hot water in the showers. Such basic problems meant that overall the hotel was not at all good value for money. we didn't have breakfast there as it was very expensive and there were much better options nearby.
