A nice quiet place.

Average restaurant. Fake attitude to the customer. Is more important thier friends than customers. They are confusing customers woth friend. You can feel not very comfortable. But maybe only because we where there for Easter. We were forced to eat quickly and the waiters told us...you know at 10 to 9 (8.50) you need to free up the breakfast space as we have friends coming. Not a very productive speech.

Location, close to highway. Very good beds.

The location is convenient (close to the highway) and nice (main square of a village). The staff was very kind, the room was spacious and clean, with a cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was gorgeous 😋

We came to Europe Park etc and the location was excellent. The staff were very nice. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant was very good for dinner. It was a local hotel as we wished for.

We stayed here as a family of 4 and we all very much enjoyed our short stay at Hotel Sonne in Mahlberg. A lovely peaceful village and a real gem of a hotel. The staff were so friendly and the food was so wonderful. The rooms had everything we needed and at such a fantastic value for money. We have travelled extensively throughout Europe by car for many years staying at hotels at all price levels and this Gasthof is very close to the top of our list. The evening dinner was superb and probably the best breakfast ever in the morning. Excellent location for a visit to Europa Park or Funny World or as a gateway to the Black Forest.

Wonderful hotel and fantastic welcome, the rooms were really comfortable but the thing that struck me most are the coffee machine and the three complimentary capsules (additional capsules are € 0.60 each, a ridiculous price and, I would say , justified), among other things we slept really well and the hotel is only 12 minutes from the Europa-Park, highly recommended, definitely we will be back soon

The breakfast.

We booked a room for two adults and two young kids. This seemed a good option for a quick stopover on our way from Italy to the Netherlands, cause located close to the highway. Somehow the beds for the kids didn't come through the booking (this happened before the owner admitted), So when we arrived after long travel at 23:00 we were in a room without blankets/beds for kids. Luckily there was a bunkbed inside but no blankets. We contacted the owner but it was shared that at that time there were no possible solutions. We had to solve it our selves and we were called liars. Apperently there had been soms kind of miscommunication through the booking app. We expected cooperative help from the hotel but this was very dissapointing. Kids stayed in our bed and we tried to sleep. The bathroom stank like fungus. During the night every 15min or every hour the church next door was ringing very long loud bell songs. This was terrible and made sleeping difficult. Next morning we saw the owner, he was very friendly. The breakfast was good. But we will never come again.

Quite thin walls and noisy guests, but nothing really bad. Breakfast ok, but too expensive for what they offer.

Very nice, comfortable hotel. The staff is super friendly and dinner and breakfast were great. Perfect place to stay during travels (we were traveling from the Netherlands to Italy). Would recommend anytime!

I had to stay there during a business trip. The personal was very nice and gave me all the assistance needed. The room was confortable and the breakfast very good. It was a short stay.

Pas de chaînes en français à la télévision et pas facile de trouver une place de parking.

Muy limpio y práctico para nuestra familia. Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos en el hotel y volveríamos. El desayuno es muy bueno, habitación extremadamente limpio y cómodo. Queda a menos de 15 min de auto de Europa-park.

Het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en de accommodatie was mooi schoon. Ontbijt was erg goed en prijs-kwaliteit is top!

La propreté et l’emplacement

Le petit déjeuner. Aucun intérêt. Omelette froide. Pain sec. Insectes autour des fruits.

Fijn appartement met handige kitchenette. We konden gebruikmaken van het restaurant en dat in ons appartement eten, dat was voor ons een uitkomst. Het restaurant zelf is overigens ook erg leuk ingericht. Vriendelijk en meedenkend personeel. En top ontbijt ook!

Ontvangst was een beetje gek met iemand die onhartelijk de deur opendeed, wees naar een envelopje en de deur gelijk weer dicht deed. Bleek dat het hotel personeel overdag niet werkt, maar het hotel is ook niet bereikbaar. Dat is wat onhandig. Ook zijn er allerlei verschillende prijzen voor hetzelfde ontbijt.
