Relais La Rupe

Wonderful property at an amazing location. The hotel is part of an old italian villa with an the charms... lovely outdoor space including an in ground situated over a fantastic gorge. Right by the center 5 minute walk to anything but you feel in the countryside. Rooms were spacious and well appointed and Luca and his family are wonderful hosts. Would love to come back!

Accommodation is close to central Sorrento, but at a nice quiet remove from the bustling, and touristy, quarters. The gardens were very pleasant, overlooking the gorge in the center of town, and practically serving as a scenic moat between us and the bustle of town. The room was clean and spacious, yet cozy, and the bed was great, especially after long days of touring! Relais La Rupe is also a reasonable 5-minute walk from the train station, though a bit of a haul with luggage. And finally, Luca, our host, was top-notch: super-welcoming and friendly, and we are grateful for his help in arranging dinner and a lemon-tour for us.

A small breakfast (cornetti with cafe) would have been perfect, but Luca pointed us towards a nearby cafe where we went every morning.

The most gorgeous property, incredible host, and fabulous location! Can’t recommend here enough. The accomodation is gorgeous and is right near the centre of town. Luca is a sensational host, so friendly and helpful!! If you’re looking for Sorrento accomodation choose here!

The property is interesting - as part of an old Palazzo, there is a lot of history and a large garden. Overlooking a valley with a historic abandoned building at the bottom it is quite spectacular looking out down towards the main area of Sorrento. It feels quite private perched above the street with a short walk to bars & restaurants.

Overall, I think this property is tired. The gardens need some work. The sofas outside the guest rooms look dishevelled with the covers not fitting correctly. The pool filter area is below the pool deck and the hinged door was left open - somebody could easily fall down the stairs. The pool area needs a freshen up - white walls streaked black. The tables under the pergola need to have the tiles glued down and cleaned.
