Pension Charly is a charming stay in Sölden, in a lovely location just about the village...

Pension Charly is a charming little pension in Sölden. Our host was very welcoming and was happy to help with anything. Breakfast was typical of an alpine stay, with plenty of variety and food on offer. We stayed over Easter so there were plenty of nice seasonal touches! Rooms are clean and comfortable, with views up the valley. Good Ski and boot storage facilities (boot warmers!) and you can almost ski in/out (100m walk) - even late in the season! Its in a lovely quiet location too. We really enjoyed our stay!

Pension Charly is comfortable, plenty clean but doesn't wow, so if you are looking for contemporary, you will need to look elsewhere (and pay more!). The host would only deal in cash, which is fine, but does mean that you need to be ready! Electronic payment would be an improvement. The quiet location also means that if you want to walk into town, prepare for a bit of a walk (probably 20 mins) but the little Innerwald lift (that runs to midnight) avoids a long schlep uphill! Realistically it is probably a location where a car makes life simpler.

The best holidays ever!

The guesthouse is a unique place. Yes it is true that it is not a modern facility and yes, the parking lot is not huge, and yes there is no elevator etc. ... but it has something that most facilities do not have!! Alpine climate, family history and the best owner service I have ever experienced !! I have stayed in large luxury hotels, but from some time I have been disturbed by heavy traffic and anonymity. It's different here! The guest is treated individually. If you value it above glass lobbies with fountains and huge chandeliers, look no further. This is the place for you! The opportunity to talk over breakfast about hiking routes (and get invaluable advice), local customs or just joking with the host creates a large part of the amazing atmosphere of this place. Pension Charly - we will come back!

Perfect ski holiday

Located right next to the ski slope 10. Comfortable bed, clean towels every day. Room has balcony with view to the mountains and main ski lift (Glaischkogel). Gabi our host was extremely kind and helpful. Last day we could keep our room till late afternoon so we could change clothes before travelling home. Many thanks.

Gastgerberin Gaby war sehr hilfsbereit und hatte immer ein offenes Ohr für Wünsche. Das Frühstück war gut und die Lage der Pension ist sehr gut (ruhig, aber trotzdem nicht allzuweit vom Dorfzentrum.

Onze kamer was niet gereed 2 van de 4 nachten en kregen zonder aankondiging een 1persoonskamer met logeerbed. Douchen in bad zonder scherm of gordijn. Over de piste moeten lopen naar skiverhuur en shuttle naar het dorp
