Great location, lovely owners, wonderful stay

We were warmly welcomed by the owner and her son. They showed us where the ski room was, where the rubbish went and where our room was. The room was super spacious. We had a bathroom and separate toilet, a living room including kitchen, a balcony and the bedroom. For 2 people this was a lot of space. I can imagine bringing 2 kids would fit perfectly as well. Everything was clean and well equipped. The location was next to a blue piste. We were there late during the season so we couldn’t ski from the house onto the piste, but we were able to walk over the grass to the piste. You can easily reach the Gaislachkogl lift from there and skiing back to the house was also easy. You have the choice between a black (partially red) run or a blue run to return to the house. The black run is quicker. The blue run was quite flat at some points. Later in the season both runs aren’t ideal, but still doable. At around 22.00 hours you can hear the snow groomers prepping the pistes, but that didn’t really bother us.

Absolutely the best place to spend your MTB holidays

Everything was absolutely great. The house is beautifully located. The view is absolutely stupendous. To reach it from the Sölden center you can use a special cable car that runs whole day and you don't need a ticket for it. If you are a mountain biker you can reach the first trail head in 90 seconds and go straight to the vilage center from where you can choose to go to Gaislachkoglbahn or Giggijochbahn and rip the really nice trails. Also the noise from the parties is not a problem because the house is far enough from the vilage below. So overall the location couldn't be more perfect. The accomodation itself is pretty basic but super clean and comfy. There is a garden in which you can rest and enjoy the view. There is a huge garage to keep your bikes here. And you can even see a waterfall from your window!

The location and the view from the room was excellent. Easy to get to and there is a lift from the bottom of the town to their place, plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. The mountains were beautiful. The hiking trials are right behind the Almhof.

If you want to go grocery shopping you will find Sölden is a bit more expensive than Vienna. Weather can be unpredictable so bring clothes for all seasons.

Very nice guesthouse in a picturesque location close to ski lifts.

Almhof is perfectly located on a mountain slope: a 3-min walk to a ski rental shop and a funicular (central shuttle lift, zentrum shuttle), which goes to the main street in Solden with bars, shops, and buses. The funicular runs from early morning to very late night. The bus 4194, which goes directly from Otztal railway station to Solden (about 1-h trip), has a stop just next to the funicular. It is possible to ski directly from Almhof to a big ski lift (cable car) which goes towards a glacier (Gaislachkogl Mittlestation, A10 lift) or walk (3-min) to two T-bar ski lifts with blues slopes (B21 and B22). A supermarket (Spar) is a 5-min walk from the lower station of the funicular. The views of the mountains and slopes from the windows and balcony were beautiful. The Almhof's landlady is very helpful and kind, she communicates mainly in German, but understands English more than she speaks, and if needed her husband who speaks English is available in the late afternoon.

When sliding the shower door in one direction it could make a high-pitch screech, when it was dry.

- wspaniała lokalizacja na samym stoku, - przyjaźni gospodarze, - czysty i ogólnie dobrze zorganizowany apartament, - brak problemu z parkingiem, - dobrze zorganizowana narciarnia

Sölden und die Holland-Party

Die Lage war perfekt und zum Skifahren direkt an der Piste einfach perfekt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und die Kommunikation problemlos. Preis/Leistung war auch nachvollziehbar und absolut angemessen. Das Apartment ist zu empfehlen.

Nichts zu beanstanden, doch Sölden ist dann doch etwas viel Holland-Party für mich persönlich, aber das ist wirklich nicht das Problem von Sölden, sondern meins.

Prachtige ligging

Fantastisch uitzicht en heerlijk appartement. Het appartement is erg fijn met een eigen keuken. Hier staat een koffiezetapparaat maar geen waterkoker. Het bed is prima. Er is een groot balkon met stoelen en je kunt ook gebruik maken van de heerlijke tuin. De gratis shuttle op enkele minuten lopen is érg fijn! Bij de buren kun je erg lekker eten. De eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

POSTO SPETTACOLARE!

Posizione ottima! Lontano dalla strada principale con una vista spettacolare sul Nederkogel. Con una specie di funicolare si raggiunge il centro in soli 2 minuti da dove si possono prendere comodamente gli autobus per ogni direzione. I padroni sono di una gentilezza ed accoglienza unica. Da ritornarci sicuramente!

Zeer mooie plek, prachtig uitzicht! Heerlijk balkon. Vriendelijke mensen. Broodjesservice. Met gratis liftje daal je af naar centrum van Sölden. Goede uitvalsbasis voor het maken van wandelingen.

Fantastisk!

Det her sted var helt fantastisk! Vi var glade under hele opholdet. Den sødeste vært, god størrelse på værelset, mulighed for tilkøb af brød om morgenen, skøn beliggenhed lige på pisten, tæt på liften ned til byen, tæt på afterski, men uden larm. Der findes ikke en bedre beliggenhed i Sölden ifølge os. Kan klart anbefales og vi kommer gerne igen!

Direkt an der Piste gelegene Unterkunft mit herzlicher Gastgeberin!

Die Unterkunft ist gemütlich und direkt an der Skipiste gelegen. Wir konnten direkt unsere Snowboards anschnallen und waren kurz darauf an der Gaislachkogl. Katharina, die Gastgeberin, ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, gegen eine kleine Gebühr, Wäsche zu waschen, die Sauna zu nutzen oder den täglichen Brötchenservice in Anspruch zu nehmen. Man kann außerdem mit einer Art Standseilbahn (kostenlos) nach unten fahren und muss nicht immer das Auto nehmen.

Die Ausstattung in der Küche könnte etwas größer sein, dass man nicht ständig die Spülmaschine anstellen muss. Die Unterkunft ist leider sehr hellhörig.
