The hotel decor was highly tasteful. The garden was pretty. The coffee was delicious. The bed and pillows were clean, new and comfortable. The towels were soft. Thalassa hotel was quiet and the ambience and environment were in accordance with nature.
The two hosts were just business like rather than friendly and cheery. they never greeted by asking about my day.
I informed the hosts of my check-out time and ordered their taxi service with them. There was no one to see me off or help with the bags. The hotel have their own regular taxi driver (from what I gathered). i was extremely disappointed with their taxi driver. He overcharged me. He didn't use his meter. I would expect Thalassa hotel to check with their regular taxi driver and ensure that their guests are properly treated and not over charged. This was my last memory of Thalassa Hotel and made me feel disappointed.

Room amenities, especially bed linens, towels and bath products
I found the mattress and pillows to be a little too hard/firm, but that’s a matter of personal preference.
Not a negative, but you really need a car if you are going to stay here, since except for the beautiful local beaches, everything else to see and do on the island requires driving.

Beautifully decorated hotel, modern and beachy.
It's in a fantastic location for Kastraki beach, close to beach loungers manned by an adjacent hotel which are very comfortable, have good service and are very affordable.
Thin walls, we were woken up at 6:45am every day.
Very hard and uncomfortable mattress that caused bruising on our hips.
Minimal housekeeping. The bed was only made once during our one week stay. I understand water conservation and I don't need my sheets changed but making the bed would be nice!
We booked a room with a garden terrace but were put in a room in what felt like the utility area and didn't have a terrace or a garden view.
The hotel does offer breakfast but at an extra cost and it has to be pre-ordered the night before.
Service at the hotel was somewhat strange and awkward. We didn't feel very welcome.
Reception closes for a couple of hours in the afternoon, strangely always when we felt we could have needed someone at reception. It's also meant to reopen at 6pm but often didn't open again till later.
Good food at the restaurant and a fun passionate chef who explains everything and takes orders, but expensive for the area and the experience was made less enjoyable by the awkward/not very attentive waiting service.
Felt like it wants to be more upmarket than it is but is really lacking in service to make it feel this way.
