Big room, comfortable bed, warm shower, big pool, pool was a pleasant temperature, quiet at the pool area, room had a view of the pool and garden, and a small balcony, helpful staff.

Although the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the southern end of the beach, it is too far a walk to get to the central part part of the beach where the lounge chairs, umbrellas, and food is available. The hotel has no restaurant and no breakfast, though there is a restaurant across the street, with a very limited menu.

Nice pool and garden

Staff was very kind they smile evertime and help about everything when we need. Garden and pool was very nice. Pool is not deeper than 1.2m but good enough for refreshing.

Hotel is not very close to beach you have to walk like 200 m or some more. Hotel is not very close to bar and restaurant you have to walk like 5-10 min. Kamala is already small village but hotel location is not best. Hotel is old. Staff is making noisy works around pool every afternoon.

Dissappointing

Big clean rooms with a spacious bed

We payed for a room with a pool view - but our room was so far to the side of the hotel you could only see the pool if you stood on the balcony and looked right, the view was to the trees mainly. Said pool was very small (pictures aren’t very honest..) and there were only a few sun-beds. The Hotel itself was 2 building that were separated by a third building that didn’t seem to belong to the hotel which was odd because they seem like one long building. The location was also disappointing as it was a 15-20 min walk to the beach and a 10 min walk to any restaurant - Its the most southern part of Kamala there can be.

The room was good for the price. It was clean and the pool was nice too. The hotel is very close to Kamala beach. There is a bakery at 2 min walk from the hotel, they had really good food.

I would have liked it more if they had glass to separate the shower area instead of a curtain but other than that, nothing to complain about.

above my room (2401) was all the air con h it’s I think and I could hear them but on the last night I think one was broken and kept me up all night. I couldn’t contact anyone and when I mentioned it in the morning they laughed. I don’t they understood but the rest of the stay was all good so I let it go :)

Quiet and good value for money.

Enjoyed my stay at Sungthong the location was quiet and a short walk to kamala town. There was a bakery only 5 mins from hotel for excellent breakfast. The swimming pool was never busy so got a seat for swimming and enjoying the sun.

Bed leaned a little on the right side of mattress.

staff is super friendly and helpful. the location is handy as it is close to the big supermarket. the room was very clean and comfortable. nice balcony to chill out. you get 2 bottles of water for free every day, which was very nice.

we actually stayed in another building of the hotel, which was not indicated on booking or google maps. The swimming pool was not in operation (unlike as shown in booking). In the bathroom there were no hooks for towels, not very handy. The room does not get very dark to sleep.

You get what you pay for.

The hotel is split in two locations not far from one another. Our room was in the new building right next to the Big C supermarket and road that led down to the beach. Rooms were spacious with plenty of hot water. 10 mins walk to the beach. Staff were lovely. Bakery right next door for breakfast.

No card machine so they wanted payment in cash, no prior warning was given. We had constant problems with our safety deposit box, but the staff were very quick to sort it out each time. As mentioned, the hotel is split over two sites, and there’s only a pool at one of the sites - the older hotel - and honestly it didn’t look very inviting. We didn’t use it.
