An amazing place with incredible staff in a perfect location. Perfect for everyone!

10/10 Highly recommend. A perfect tranquil, modern guesthouse with everything you could possibly need provided. Best sleep I’ve had in years - I didn’t want to leave. Kamin and Joe are the absolute best hosts you could ask for - so friendly, kind, knowledgeable and easy going and really easy to communicate as they speak English. Perfect location, with a road of shops, restaurants, massage parlours, taxi’s the lot and only about 30 seconds from the beach. If you take a stroll along the beach, you will see their Papa Crabs restaurant which also is 10/10! This place js an absolute gem and beautiful inside. I stayed in both the double room and twin room as stayed an extra night - both same design and beautiful. I am a solo traveller and felt 100% safe and comfortable which made my stay even better. I can’t recommend this place enough and hope I will be back again in the future. Thanks for an incredible 5 days guys! You’ve set the standard for the rest of my travels around thailand and I’m 100% sure that nothing is going to live up to this!

Disappointed

The boutique hotel is small and centrally located in Kamala

Lack of accurate info following arrival after office hours, at 530pm. We had a few issues with our room, which was rectified the following day... There was no communication from staff on useful info such as - not providing daily housekeeping - which we discovered upon request & replenishment of basic toiletries....even though I asked for clean towels, they did not provide these. We were not told there were beach towels...etc. etc. The room's safe had instructions for the wrong type of safe..... Hygiene was an issue on arrival as our shower smelt of urine & was slightly blocked. It was cleaned properly the following day (which ironically confirms it hadn't been cleaned properly before we arrived) Sorry paoa crab, you can & should do better

Lovely stay in this unique hotel

Check in was smooth, even though the reception was already closed when we arrived, we were given clear instructions about how to get the key to the room. Very friendly owner and staff who helped us arrange transport to the airport. Close to the beach and many restaurant options. Room was very nice and clean.

The wifi signal didn't reach our room, we had to go to the lobby to access wifi

The mattress on the bed needs replacing - impossible to lay flat as it dips so much toward the edges and is very uncomfortable.

Good value for money in Kamala

Excellent location and wonderful hosts who go the extra mile to make you feel welcome.

It’s a bit hard to manage the room’s temperature at night which ends up being too hot or too cold (aircon is placed in front of the bed and blows directly on occupants)

Good location

This is a Boutique house in a good location. Shops and restaurants are on the same street and beach is less than 5 min walk. Clean room and spacious for two people. Owner is helpful and knowledgeable person who answered all our questions. Public car park is available around 5 min walk.

There are few things noted from our stay, Shower water pressure was very low. Kettle provided but you have to bring your own team/coffee. Mosquito

A comfy, quiet room away from busy Kamala beach front

It’s a great property tucked in the corner away from the busy parts of Kamala. The rooms are nice and comfortable and always clean. The lower floor bedrooms are a little dark. Beds are comfy and showers are hot. I liked the service of this hotel, it’s what made my stay worth it. They accommodated my requests and were super friendly.

Potentially a little pricey for what you can get in other places.

Comfortable room and better service, near Kamala beach

Stayed 3 nights at Papacrab, first destination in Thailand. For us the guesthouse was exactly what we were looking for: an affordable comfortable place to use as "base camp" when we were not exploring. The room was large and clean and the mattress was very comfortable. We had problems with our flights and arrived near 22:00 but there was no problem at all for a late check in. The host is also very welcoming and willing to answer questions and explain the surroundings. The beach is round the corner and we found it actually very nice (not as crowded as others in Phuket). So, do not expect a hotel, this is a guesthouse, but a very nice quality price one in Phuket.

Calm and convienent.

The owner is very thoughtful, insuring you have privacy and available to help and give recommendations. Cleaning was done everyday at a time when we were gone. Location is great for restaurants, massage, 7-Eleven and beach. Owner gives good recommendations. We recommend.

Aircon blows on bed, which was uncomfortable for us. And room is small, so you can’t move away from it. We ended up sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed

Charly the manager shared excellent recommendations about where to go for close by massage, food shopping, elephant riding & tailor when asked. we plan to return one day. The ceiling fan in the room was a nice to have & the air con worked well.

need to bring your own shampoo & conditioner. bed was a bit hard, like most beds in Thailand. a bit tricky to get from the shower, past the loo, to dry yourself off.

Exceptional

We absolutely loved Papacrab from the moment we arrived. The ambiance is super chic, yet cozy and welcoming. It simply feels good walking into it, every single time. It was my 3rd time in Phuket and 2nd time at Kamala beach area. Papacrab is the best ever accomandation I have had. Not that we haven't been to a luxurious resort. Papacrab is an all-rounder, it has the location, yet quite and peaceful. It is chic, elegant, yet with character. We simply loved it. Highly highly recommend. If you are looking for a place to stay at Kamala beach, no need to look further, this is the best one.

What an amazing little guesthouse! The owner was above and beyond helpful, even helping to set up a dental appointment for me when I broke a tooth while on a scuba liveaboard prior to my stay at the property. Everything about the room was wonderful - I can’t think of anything that needs changing. Highly recommend!

very nice and modern place - you feel like an oasis when walking in. The interior is very well chosen and very nicely designed. The bed was very comfy and large enough to fit 2 Adults and one toddler. The owner and his wife are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!

welcoming stay and beautifully decorated property in Kamala Beach!

We really enjoyed staying here! This was a perfect spot in Kamala Beach! if you choose this beach as your location you will not regret booking this property. We absolutely loved being able to walk out the door of the beautiful hotel and have a wealth of choice in cafés restaurants shops massages, tailors, and supermarkets near by. once you’ve been there a day you feel like a neighbor. Everyone was very very welcoming! We especially liked only having to walk five minutes to the beach. There is definitely a small town feel to this area. The property is beautifully decorated and you’ll feel very much at home. The rooms are small and cozy.

Location- 1 minute to the beach & 30 seconds to a variety of restaurants. There is no better location in Kamala than Papacrab. Off the street & free of noise you are guaranteed a good nights sleep in the secure compound. Rooms - well appointed with everything you need including a hot shower & kettle for that morning coffee. Internet- reliable fast internet is available. I experienced no issues during my extended stay. Staff - cleaning staff & management are top notch & dedicated to making your stay one you will not soon forget. Highly recommend.

Lovely owners!!

We stayed our first three nights at PapaCrab. From the moment we got there Charly made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the location is great! Next to the 7/11 so we’d spend our nights with a couple of beers outside our room. Charly went above and beyond when we left also as I’d left our towels and swimwear on the balcony and he dropped them off at our airport hotel in Phuket for us as we’d gone to Phi Phi in between! Would highly recommend

The only thing I would have liked is a hairdryer. I’d left ours at home to save space in our luggage expecting one, we managed fine without one but the other half wanted it for his beard.

The location was great! Close to beach and restaurants and guesthouse itself is set back from the beach road separated by the koi pond. It’s small , comfortable and welcoming guesthouse. Charly and Koong are delightful hosts! You truly feel their warmth and sincerity.

Zentrale Lage mit ansprechendem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis

Die Unterkunft liegt zentral an einer belebten Straße, mit zahlreichen Restaurants, Cafés und Bars sowie Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Ebenfalls ist der nahegelegene Strand in wenigen Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Das Zimmer ist sauber, mit den wichtigsten Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet und das Bett sehr komfortabel und bequem. Auf Nachfrage wurden uns Strandtücher ausgehändigt.

Das Badezimmer ist sehr schmal und unvorteilhaft geschnitten. Ebenfalls hätten wir uns etwas mehr Beleuchtung im Zimmer gewünscht. Die zweifachen Glasschiebetüren sind hinsichtlich Schall- und Wärmeisolierung sicherlich vorteilhaft, allerdings in der Handhabung unpraktisch und insbesondere der Schließmechanismus von innen sehr knifflig.
