Location is excellent for walking around, for taking bus or train, or getting tours as bus stop is only a short walk.
Room is comfortable; had a nice side sea view and good tv options. Walk-in shower is much better than a tub. Small fridge is nice, as is the initial drinks provided
Breakfast was quite nice with juice and water available at no cost.
It's the small things that can make or break an experience. The shower was nice, but no shelf to put your own shampoo, razor, etc.
Shampoo/soap combo squeeze tubes in shower and sink cheapens the room.
Really petty that you cannot get water to drink at dinner without paying for a bottle. Because of this, we skipped our usual wine/beer with dinner, and went for a drink elsewhere after dinner.
Relaxing on the balcony in the evening is not possible, as lights are on and cannot be turned off.
Smoke from people smoking carries to other balconies and inside rooms when you open your window to try to get fresh air. Not all the time, but once it gets in your room it's hard to get rid of it.
Although we had read about the friendliness of staff, it seemed to be for past or long time guests.

Husband complained that the bed was not comfortable. Pool was closed for repairs but noted at time of booking. Parking was an additional charge.

The staff are all superb, extremely friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasure to engage with everyone who worked at the hotel. The hotel is also extremely clean, everywhere is immaculate. Housekeeping kept our bathroom spotless. Breakfast was a great offering with cava too! Evening meal has a large variety but was a little repetitive night on night, the waiters cannot do enough for you though and the bar prices were very fair. The location is absolutely superb.
Our problem sadly was significant, the beds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable. They are both very firm and my mattress sloped to the right, I kept rolling to almost falling out! Good sleep is the absolute basic necessity a hotel should provide. We had twin beds and both were very uncomfortable which did spoil our stay, we were more tired when we got home!
