Just one of the most beautifully designed resorts ever, great eye for thoughtful design that exists in harmony with its surroundings. Amazing helpful staff who go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Really stepped up when my partner was ill one night to take care of us. The most amazing natural pools and cool baths, mud baths, sauna and spa. Food outstanding.
We stayed at tree tent1, and it did get a little hot at night

I loved every minute of our stay. This hotel is like nothing I’ve experienced before. The architecture, the nature, the attention to detail. It’s welcoming, unpretentious and inspiring in every way. The food was delicious both at the Riverside Warung and at Tembaga where they offer a curated menu with ”logentivity cuisine” in mind. We were there on a Thursday when they offer a beautiful acoustic concert. I highly recommend it. Bambu Indah is a dream whether you’re a solo traveler, with your friends or your family (both kids and teens would love it).

It’s not only about the environment, but the whole concept. The service is warm and attentive, and the food is thoughtfully prepared — no fast food, sugary options, or soft drinks, just clean and nourishing flavors. The carefully selected art and antiques, combined with the creative use of nature as part of the interior design, make this place truly unique and inspiring.
Some guests complain about the natural sounds and wildlife, forgetting that nature is part of the experience and that we are only guests here. Creating and running a place like this requires enormous knowledge, care, and courage, which deserves respect.

It was so beautiful. The design and architecture is outstanding. I felt like I was staying in Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings.

It is very unique and very well located, surrounded by nature and greenery. Staff is exceptionally polite
As I stayed in the Sumba house I felt that it’s interesting for a one night stay but uncomfortable to walk on the uneven bamboo and without any real windows easily the insects and rodents could come in

Great location, jungle setting, natural pools.
Bambu Indah has been considerably developed since our last stay there 2 years ago. It has gone from feeling like a boutique small hotel to a resort feel with lots of people coming and going in ‘day pass’. We stayed in the Swift and Starljng rooms which had no outlook and no windows - it was like staying in a cave. Very disappointed compared to the original rooms like tent, moon and copper and poor value for money IMHO.

This property is absolutely beautiful, authentic, and full of character. It truly made our trip to Bali unforgettable — the quintessential Bali experience! The interior design and finishes were stunning, every detail was perfect. But our favorite part of the stay was the people — everyone was so kind and welcoming, especially Hendra, who made us feel completely at home.

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to arrive in Bali.
This hotel truly captures the Balinese atmosphere — you don’t even need to leave it. The food is wonderful, the service is exceptional. There’s a river, pools, local attractions, two restaurants, a spa, and a bar — everything you need in one place.
For those who appreciate details, Bambu Indah is impeccable. From organic soaps, shampoos and repellents to healthy food made with natural, organic ingredients, everything reflects care and authenticity.
The entire team is simply the heart of the hotel. My wife and I are absolutely delighted. From the moment we were picked up for the transfer, we felt warmly welcomed. We stayed at Dove House and Moon House — one felt like a cozy nest, and the other, an open space surrounded by nature.
And there are even a few surprises not shown on the website or Booking, which make the experience even more extraordinary.

We loved every minute of our stay as Bambu Indah. Our family of 5 stayed in the Elora and Orin house, which was just delightful. We enjoyed the outdoor shower, comfortable beds, beautiful timber flooring and decor. It was a treat to wake to the sounds of birds in the trees and the rushing river nearby. In terms of the resort itself the entire property is just divine. The walk through the gardens, down stairs and across bamboo bridges to breakfast was a delight each day. The food was fresh, tasty and nutritious, which I really appreciated. The staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. I particularly appreciated the evening ‘turn-down’ service where staff came to set up the mosquito nets and coils. The saltwater and natural pools so wonderful to swim in, not to mention the secret crystal pool with sauna, cold plunge and mud bath! We took part in many of the included activities, such as yoga, blessing ceremony and even vegetable picking. My husband and I also had incredible massages onsite at the spa. This resort I something special, different from the usual, but still incredibly luxurious.
Nothing. We loved it all.

Breathtaking surroundings which has been meticulously cared for to ensure it remains in its natural landscape.
Sustainable concept for the sauna, plunge pool and mud bath.
Nothing not to like. The tiniest nitpick would be the bathroom door was a little tricky to close and lock.

The Bambu Indah resort is something straight out of a fairytale--a once in a lifetime experience type of resort. Every single detail at the resort is so well thought out and intentionally made. The architecture, the design elements, the incense, the food and the overall experience. For being in the jungle, we had no issue with insects or mosquitos. However, the hotel still is prepared by providing mosquito lotion, mosquito nets for the bed, as well as a turn down service in the evening to ensure everything is clean and protected. The rooms come equipped with free healthy snacks, a selection of tea and coffee, and a mini bar stocked with drinks and granola bars (free on the first night). The breakfast is incredible, coming with a diverse menu to select from all included. The natural pools are absolutely a delight, but whats even more delightful is the way the seating has been prepared in the area, immersed and tucked away in the nature --and right next to the river.
I highly recommend staying here, if you want to leave with a memorable experience.
The staff always seemed to be a bit suspicious of us, and asked us 3-4 times a day if we were staying at the hotel and what room we were in. I can understand at the beginning of the stay, but if we're there for 4 consecutive days, you should remember that we are staying at the hotel. Being asked 3-4 times made us feel insecure in our presence there.

Wow, what a place!
We'd been told how special this place was, and after the chaos of Ubud the tranquility of Bambu Indah didn't disappoint.
The location, facilities, buildings, staff, food, everything was amazing. Just wish we had more time there.

Everything about this resort was very thought out and magical. I could sit there for hours looking out at the views. The food was incredible and very healthy. We stayed in the Alora Orang house and the architecture was phenomenal. Every aspect of this resort was beautiful and breathtaking.

The location and uniqueness of the hotel was incredible.
It was our honeymoon and I had asked for something special. The effort was minimal.
Whilst the hotel looks amazing, everything is 5 x the price of getting the same service outside. EUR30 to wash a couple tshirts. Food is meant to be unique, but it's not great at all. Paid for a 90min massage, received a 60min massage which was probably the worst i've had.
Prepare to be ripped off like crazy all in the favor of some uniqueness.

Easily the most incredible place I’ve ever stayed. I asked Chat GPT to find me an eco friendly resort in Bali and this was the first to come up woowoo!! After deeply reading through Bambu Indah’s website, I quickly became fascinated about the concept and integration of living in nature. This place is truly one of a kind- the service, food, rooms, amenities, employees and everything are all reasons why!
I stayed in the Starling Room with my husband and it was the perfect amount of space for the two of us. We booked through Booking.com for a little discount too which was helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower and all the natural pools sprinkled through the resort. There is so much land to explore in this jungle resort! Walk across all the cool bamboo bridges, play in the river, and don’t forget to find the hidden underground tunnels with bathrooms!!
Complimentary breakfast was delicious and our fave way to start each day.
We booked services/experiences outside of the resort bc they are a bit pricey here.
Otherwise, this was the best stay EVER 11/10

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay here.
There was a large corporate conference booked in the resort that took over large areas that we were very aggressively told we could not access during our stay. We booked to enjoy the nature and instead ended up back in corporate world with blaring speakers, swarming people and not being able to use half the resort facilities. We voiced our discomfort several times, were offered a dismissive apology. .
The event was obviously booked well in advance and had we known, we would have chosen to stay another time or not at all.
To advertise a return to nature, and then book large, loud and disruptive events is not an alignment on values for us. Beware, it might be paradise or back in corporate world from one day to the next. We wanted to love our stay here, but unfortunately we didn’t.
Would not recommend for these reasons.
We left feeling like they valued large corporate event bookings over the peace and comfort of their guests. A very disappointing experience.

Everything was extraordinary. The property is unique in its concept and implementation. Bamboo architecture is everywhere: from the rooms and villas to the restaurants, the incredible lift cut into the hillside and the bridges over the rivers. The jungle surrounds and views of the rice terraces are wonderful. The pools by the river have place to sit and relax and are cool and refreshing. The food was the best we had in Bali. The staff were very helpful, friendly and informative. Amongst those we spoke with were Hendra in the restaurant and Dea and Wati at reception.
We liked everything about the property.

An absolutely fabulous creation in the middle of the Ubud jungle! A green heaven, where a unique bamboo design enhances karma and well feeling, creating an unforgettable experience and spirit!
It is not well suited for guests who are not mobile as the property has many stairs.

We stayed two nights at Bambu Indah and it was definitely not enough. We would have loved to stay longer.
We were struck with the nature from the moment we arrived. The feeling being here is out of this world, the staff is the kindest, they arranged everything for us from manicure to a silver jewelry workshop. The food at the River Warung was delicate, full of flavors, and very tasty.
We got to try two different types of houses during our stay. Both were very well furnished and decorated, super clean. We loved the sound of nature around us.
It’s a perfect stay that went beyond our expectations, we will come back !

We wanted to come somewhere incredibly special for our honeymoon and it exceed our expectations. We stayed in tent 2 for three nights and honestly upon arrival it was the most surreal experience. What a stunning breathtakingly beautiful location, with such lovely staff and the whole atmosphere was magical - calming mists and scents as you walk through the jungle. The food is also amazing. I'll be talking about this for the rest of my life - thank you.
Nothing could have been better - nothing. I know that they emailed to explain there is some construction work with the new restaurant. THIS WILL NOT IMPACT YOUR STAY WHAT-SO-EVER - you won't even be aware there's anything additional going on. Please go for it and get it booked - it's insanely special.

Bambu Indah is a true bohemian natural oasis that feels almost otherworldly. As a designer myself I have only ever experienced a handful of places that if feel have truely managed to create the ambience and achieve the curation in all aspects that this resort has from the architecture, to retaining the natural integrity of the rainforest, the staff and their interaction and communication style with one another and guests (so quiet and friendly) the attention to detail when night falls lighting incense and coils all around the resort, the scents used, the turn down service, the food and the drinkable water. This resort has stolen a piece of my heart I will cherish my experience here forever.
At no fault to the resort but just a warning to be mindful when walking down to the pools as the stepping stones down to the pools can be quiet slippery and treacherous when wet.
7.0 / 10.0
The grounds are beautiful and fun to walk through, the staff is excellent, the bar and restaurant atmospheric, dinner at both bar and river restaurant was wonderful.
Pools were a really big disappointment as only a couple very small shallow ones felt clean enough to swim, the lower ones the water was a really unappetising colour, some leaves/bugs,etc. Felt like we were nickel and dimed, paid £400+ a night (which is A LOT in Bali), but for an extra bed for our 4 year old, they charged an extra£40/night. Breakfast was mediocre. Also, they are building a lot more houses (it wasn’t disruptive at all), but I’m not sure the community spaces, especially pools can handle all the additional guests. Probably should have done a day pass…
