Villa Johanna Guesthouse

Nice quiet guesthouse, looks lovely from the outside. Good location in what seemed to be a quiet area. Old style cash only and a paper receipt issued on arrival.

Small room and a bit basic, small shower/toilet room. But all fine for the price paid.

I liked everything. The house and the room were incredibly clean and cosy. The bed was rather soft, but I'm not sure if it's true for all rooms. The lady was nice to us, she did her best, and she even recommended us spas and restaurants. Parnu is great not only in summer. Maybe the sea is too cold in the off-season, but the atmosphere makes the town perfect to stay in every season.

I didn't like the unfair, negative comments about the guest house and the lady who is the property manager and/or owner (?). Honestly, I don't understand them. Yes, she doesn't speak fluent English, but we still understood each other. Yes, there are rules, as the house is more like a home than a soulless hotel, but nothing special, just like at home. Yes, you must leave your shoes in front of your room. But why would you go inside a perfectly clean, carpeted room in your shoes? Do you do it at home too? There is a fridge, a kettle and cups, but no tea or coffee? Yes, this is a guesthouse, not a hotel. For the same reason, you won't get new sheets and towels every day. There is no breakfast? If you had read the information, it shouldn't surprise you. So unfair to give lower points because of this. It's not right to expect hotel-level services in a guesthouse.

Great location! Close to the beach. Beautiful neighbourhood. Cute place and wonderful host. Recommended!
