We arrived at the airport on the night of a public transport strike - that made getting to the hotel harder than it should be - at the mercy of taxi drivers! However, when leaving a few days later it was an easy kilometre walk to the train station to go into Termini (Rome). The 24 hour bar and cafe 2 doors along was FANTASTIC! People coming and going did not disturb our sleep and their food was absolutely marvellous and so affordable. The restaurant on the other side was good value and had great food too. If you haven’t booked then you need to be there right when it opens at 7pm our you may not get a table. A big supermarket is across the street. If you are looking for 5 star this is not for you. If you are visiting the Ostia Antica Archeological Park - another hidden gem - which is a short 1.3 km walk away, this is really good clean affordable accommodation. 24 ‘reception’ through the bar/cafe is a bonus - doesn’t matter what time you arrive or if you are tired, hungry or grumpy there is coffee, alcohol and sweet delights to put you back in a great frame of mind. Great value. And did I mention the food options on either side?

Not that far from the archeological site, very friendly staff, nice 24h open bar and restaurants nearby with good stuff

The shower cabin size and the water pressure could be better

The room was big and we had private bathrooms. It was clean and comfortable.

You have to walk from street to the reception and they didn't know english very well. We had a flight next day at 8 am and we had planed to take a bus from Ostia Antica to the Fiumicino Airport. But just in case we asked the reception about the bus conditions and he told us the buses in Ostia is not reliable and he would rather take a cab. So we decided to take a cab but we felt like we kinda get scammed. First tge receptionist said it would cost 60 euros and when we said no, he said it would cost 50. After we told him we are students, he said 30 is okay. But after some time he came to us and said it will be 40 euros. It was a 10 km ride. And we couldn't even sleep because we had to take the cab at 4 am. Because the reception said so.
