Acceptable accomodation in Sens

The hotel is in the town center, easy to reach and there are shops and attractions near by. Generally price per quality ratio was acceptable. Receptionists were open to discuss the issues I experienced.

The first room I got had a bath which I requested, but it was in the roof section, cold and had a quite outdated furniture. For a comfort room I would expect better one. The main issue was with the heating, the weather in October was quite cold, but only the air conditioner worked, not the heating system. The air conditioner blew the air to the beds. I requested a new room and got another without bath. Parking area was usually crowded, several days I had to park nearby. I had to pay upon arrival. It was not a big deal, but normally when I am on business trip they do not ask me about it. After the findings I could understand the reason. The only lift was really outdated, but at least it worked.

Great hotel, super value and very recommended.

We stayed in 2 ‘comfort’ rooms for 2 adults and 2 teenagers (and our Labrador). Both rooms were very clean and spacious. The shower was one of the best EVER. It was absolutely amazing. The air conditioning was brilliant and so welcome in the hot weather we had. Parking in front of the hotel. Our dog cut her paw (not the hotels fault), and the lady on reception was so kind and gave us details for a few local vets so we were able to get her sorted very quickly. Also a fantastic location being a few minutes walk to the town and very close to the river. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel in an interesting little city

Room was a little on the small side but contained a nice double bed. The room was exceptionally well furnished with modern furniture and fittings AND it was air-conditioned which was essential as we had 30C temperatures that week. Reception staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. There was plenty of on-site parking. Breakfast was good too. I would definitely stay there again. And Sens is a nice little city with a fabulous medieval cathedral and should not be overlooked. The hotel is within 5 - 10 minutes walk to the city centre.

Every enjoyable

Friendly staff. Great location. Beautiful room with spacious bathroom. Very comfortable bed . Breakfast was really good with a very large selection of foods, cheeses, baked goods, cereals and much more.

Superb overnight stay in a historic town - we’ll worth a visit

Perfectly located in the heart of the beautiful old town of Sens with secure off street parking directly outside the reception of the hotel. Excellent staff, very clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was again excellent with large buffet choice of hot and cold options. The town is charming and the hotel is a 10 minute stroll to the huge gothic cathedral in the centre where Thomas Beckett sought sanctuary until 1170 (when he returned to England and met his death in Canterbury Cathedral). The hotel is also a 2 minute walk from the River Yonne for a nice walk. I would highly recommend for an overnight stay. An easy 4.5 hour drive from Calais.

All was well: very efficient reception, nice room, and a perfect location! Brackfast was ok, could be better though, but the main reason to chose this hotel was the location, and the confortable rooms.
