This for sure isn't four stars hotel. I travel a lot and know what to expect in four stars. Madanis is clear , breakfast is good and stuff is nice but it is not enough for 4 stars.
I asked for sooner check in. When we came it occurs that it's extra paid ( nobody mentioned it in message). The elevator is out of service and You have to use na elevator for stuff, when You come and go out by very little maintenance room. Room is clean but that's all. There is no possibility to change the temperature in room. No coffee ,no tea - little things ,but very common in such hotels. Beds on wheels , You make a move and bed does the same. Very thin walls, You can hear everything from nextdoor rooms. In the bathroom only basic cosmetics - shower gel, shampoo ,lotion. No toothpaste. At night I met a big cockroach in the bathroom. It is too much for me. Specially on four stars.
Breakfast ok, home made juices ,good coffee, fruits , cheeses , vegetables and cold meats.
Very professional manager ,who gave us free breakfast after I told her about the cockroach.
But still I am very disappointed by this place.
It wasn't my first time in Barcelona, but I prefer to stay in cheap hostal in the center - closer to everything, good bed and no insects. So if You expect four stars You will not find it in Madanis.
