Great hotel

Magnificent hotel, room was so comfy , bed was amazing. At breakfast , I was served very quickly and the bacon rashers I had were unreal. I asked the waitress where they got them from, she went and found that it was a company called Quigleys meat. I'll definitely be searching for them. I'll also be back to the hotel soon.

Nice hotel but ask for a quiet room

Great leisure centre and food. The staff were lovely. The room was clean and the bathroom was a good size.

Recommend asking for a quiet room. Music from an event in the function room kept us up well into the night.

Staff are nice friendly, breakfast staff amazing in their job. I asked for a bowl of porridge this morning and the girl said to me it was no issue at all we try and please everyone here, if I knew their was a survey id have gotten her name. But extremely courteous she was.

37 euro for a steak which I asked rare but got more or less well done . My wife got a steak sandwich which should be carved into slices. Amazingly her steak was pink where my steak was brown. Was there a mix up in steaks ? And to be totally honest, last time we stayed food was better in my opinion.

Breakfast was good found it easier on the self service option but still was okay ordering it from the menu. Staff very good and friendly especially John the Breakfast Manager knows his stuff very impressed with him. On the ball as you might say.

Room very spacious, Comfortable, dinner was fine, but you could offer a bit more variety for main course and the breakfast was fine. Could have a selection of yogurts on offer rather than just natural flavour,the tomatoes that was served were shivereled and hard and cold, looked as if they were cooked for quite awhile. It would have being better if they were freshly cooked. some small point to take note of.

Chefs to make sure the food is hot coming from the kitchen at all times. more staff on duty at busy peroids, There was a bit of a wait last night for dinner to be served due to restaurant being busy. but I have to say the waitress on duty apologised to us for the delay.

We had a very poor experience at this hotel from start to finish. The room was absolutely freezing and had a strong damp/mould smell, which made it very uncomfortable to stay in. The pool changing rooms were filthy – mucky puddles all over the floor and generally unhygienic. The showers were barely warm and there was no shampoo provided at all. The restaurant was an absolute shambles. There were plenty of staff but hardly any customers, yet staff were doing anything other than serving tables. When the food eventually arrived it was stone cold. I had waited so long that I had no choice but to eat it as I was starving. The chips tasted like cheap oven chips and the burger didn’t even taste like beef – more like pork. The prices were extortionate for the quality of food we received. To make matters worse, the fire alarm went off at 1:40am, disturbing our sleep. At breakfast I ordered a coffee which never arrived. I left this hotel feeling completely robbed and with a sore stomach from the food the night before. I would not return and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Comfortable stay

Layout and rooms lift access. Location accessible to main road good parking. Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed. Good musician playing in the bar.

I thought the shower could be cleaner at the base of the doors. Hard to see the musician in the bar when eating and drinking on the top level. Curtains in the glass area at restaurant towards the front would make it much cosier.

Would stay again but would insist on quiet room away from function room area and noisy guests.

Check in was efficient and friendly. Rooms were decent size. Leisure centre decent. Staff friendly and hard working.

We had two rooms. One was fine, the other was located over an outdoor smoking area adjacent to function room. There was a large and noisy event on, so had to sleep with the windows closed. Windows were not soundproof however. We had mentioned we were travelling for a morning sporting event, so a quieter room could have been allocated. We did not bother asking for a room change, however, as we knew the hotel was fully booked and the staff seemed very busy with the large event. Public areas of hotel were quite dirty on the morning following the event - cigarette butts and beer glasses in stairwells etc. Food - bar food was acceptable if unmemorable.

A disappointing experience overall unfortunately.

The staff were very nice. The room was basic but clean and had all that was needed. Bathroom was modern and spotless. Breakfast was OK. The reason we went was for the 2 day Charleville cycling event.

The staff were lovely and did their best, but it was clear they were understaffed which led to a lot of disorganisation and delays in the restaurant. I prebooked a table for the second night as on the first we were seated outside the restaurant. When we arrived we were told our table was given to someone else and there was nothing they could do, no other offer of a table in the restaurant - once again we were seated outside the restaurant. The food wasn't great and overpriced for the standard produced. I felt sorry for the staff as it was clear they were overwhelmed and just didn't have the time to serve people in a productive or professional way.

Not Cool 🥵

Good Breakfast, even though they don't carry Lactose Free Milk, and the orange juice was not freshly squeezed

The rooms don't have air-conditioning. No fridge in which to keep cold drinks. Only a Fan to keep you cool . . . The leisure centre and pool are not really part of the hotel. You have to go outside and around the hotel to get to it. It's open to the public and not very clean. The Sauna was good but the steam room had no steam.

It was very convenient for me Rooms are clean, with Elemis bathroom products, also the bath is an extra bonus

The room was so hot, I removed the duvet from its cover, which helped and there was a fan. I really don’t understand why the majority of hotel rooms are uncomfortably hot. I do understand other nationalities come from warmer climate, but you can always add extra blankets, but it is so uncomfortable when a room is so hot.

We were in room 228 and it was very hot with no air con. We were also above the function suite and a function was on that didn’t finish until about 1.45am and it was really noisy.

Fun Family Friendly

The hotel is family friendly and staff were great. The family room was a decent size with lots of space. It was the first time we didn't mind bringing the double buggy to the room. The kids enjoyed the pool.

No complaints, everything was great. We were visiting family in Cork and the hotel was perfect location to base ourselves. Only thing I would not be expecting a scenic view from your room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, except the breakfast crew. The bed was big and comfortable. The cooked breakfast was good , except the list was very small.

Our room 226 was not well cleaned. The carpet was disgusting and badly marked. The room was noisy from the leisure centre behind, the exhausts from the centre went on late and started at 5.45 am. The window locks were broken .At dinner we selected an Australian Chardonay which was just left on the table. We had to ask for an ice bucket as it was not cold. The wine at 31.00 tasted awful, there was a tiny wine selection anyway. On the table there was a menu of salads, when we tried to order we were told they were not available . Why leave it on the table! There was also no rosé available from the wine list . The food we ordered was nice. When we complained to the bar manager she was shocked we weren’t poured a glass to taste. At breakfast I sent back my cup as it hadn’t been washed.there were no sockets on one side of the bed. No usb ports and the furniture was dated and scuffed
