Hotel De4dames

Het is een heel sfeervol hotel waar je ook erg lekker kunt eten. Het ontbijt is werkelijk heel uitgebreid en smaakvol. Er is een groot terras waar je gezellig kunt zitten met rondom de typische dorpse sfeer van Schier. De kamers zijn niet overdreven groot maar voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. Je moet wel een trap op om ze te bereiken. De badkamer is compact maar met douche, toilet en wastafel is alles wat je nodig hebt aanwezig; er hangt een groot TV scherm en er is prima gratis wifi. Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van alle bezienswaardigheden. Een superplek voor een korte vakantie waarbij je Schiermonnikoog wilt leren kennen. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en gaat ver om het de gasten naar de zin te maken.

Almost everything in this place was really good. The breakfast was really good, the location was great right in the middle of the little city The place is also a pub and a restaurant so you can also eat or have a drink there The staff was also super kind

The only cons was that our room window was in the same side of the pub and during the evening people would talk loud right on your ear if you want to sleep

This hotel enjoys a prime location in the only village on Schiermonnikoog, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars, and museums. We were greeted by friendly staff, though check-in was a little slow - there’s no dedicated desk, and we waited about 10 minutes before being helped. Our room was of reasonable size and clean. On the positive side, the hotel’s restaurant was excellent, with an impressive wine list and a surprisingly good whiskey bar - by far the highlight of our stay. Would we come here again for dinner? Absolutely. Would we stay overnight again? Probably not.

Breakfast was in line with typical Dutch standards: technically complete but limited in selection and below average in quality. Housekeeping also lacked attention to detail, as toiletries in the bathroom were not proactively replaced. The room was poorly soundproofed, so we could clearly hear people in the corridor.
