B&B Het Blije Schaap

The property is in a beautiful location right by the dyke surrounded by farmland. It’s the perfect stay in the countryside.

Een warm welkom door een vriendelijke gastvrouw en het heerlijke ontbijt. Heel compleet: aan alles is gedacht!

Als je slecht ter been bent, is de trap naar de slaapkamers wat lastig. De badkamer is compleet maar wel een beetje krap.

De locatie was fantastisch.

It was great having the peace of mind of eating vegan, without keep asking about the ingredients as in other properties I stayed. All food served and the snacks available are fully vegan. The continental breakfast is already very filling, but you should try at least once the full vegan English breakfast. It is so delicious! About the B&B itself, we appreciated a lot the use of 2nd hand furniture, it's a great way to help the environment. The owners are also extremely helpful in providing information about the surroundings. They are kind and thoughtful. We could also rent 2 e-bikes to explore the peaceful surroundings and even bringing the e-bikes on the ferry to Ameland. It was a great way to visit the island. Overall, our stay was enjoyable and relaxing.

Just as reminder, note that there is no Wi-Fi in the property, only a LAN internet, as clearly mentioned on the website. Moreover the owners will ask you to keep switched off the Wi-Fi also on your own device, as they believe it's unhealthy. It's not a belief that we share, but we respect their choice. It also doesn't hurt to disconnect from the internet for a while when you're on vacation.
