Beautiful, comfortable guest house an absurdly low price.

It’s impossible to say anything negative about this place. Very comfortable rooms with lovely semi-outdoor bathrooms, including a nice breakfast, set in a sweet garden, for an absurdly low price. It’s also steps from the beach and from many of the services you might want, such as snorkel rental, dive shops, etc. We also were able to hire the son of the owner as a driver twice, which was very convenient.

The Wi-Fi could be a little stronger.

Perfect in every way!

Everything! Received a warm welcome from Beruk and his lovely family who were so caring and kind. Spacious room, which was cleaned every day, with a fridge, kettle and water dispenser. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. Lovely terrace with a bench, table and day bed. I had a deluxe room in its own private garden. Awoke each morning to birdsong. Plentiful breakfast was brought to my terrace at my chosen time. A special thank you to ‘mama’ who swept the garden daily to keep it clear of fallen leaves and flowers. Good WiFi. The beach was just a few minutes walk. Swam here most days. You can also hire sun beds and snorkelling gear. Beruk arranged a snorkelling trip to Menjangan island which was fabulous. Also just a few minutes from warungs, coffee shops, supermarkets and spas.

The fridge, kettle & water gave the deluxe rooms a good edge. We had both deluxe rooms and hence enjoyed a private garden, too. You are a short distance from both town and bio rock reef/ sandy beach. The home team are very helpful and offer tours at sensible prices.

The first house is very close to the beach which is great and also close to lots of nice places to eat. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but clean, comfortable and with good aircon. I would stay here again.

Super nice place to stay

We stayed at a lot of great places on Java and Bali that were excellent value for money, but this one was the best: great bed, recently built house, super clean, tastefully decorated, including the bathroom with the open shower. Buruk and family were excellent hosts, his snorkeling tour was really fantastic and well-organized. Pondok Shindu was close both to the beach and to all kinds of good restaurants, and we made full use of its closeness to both. Easy pickup from Gilimanuk harbor was appreciated.

One of the appliances in the room did not fit the socket. But this is a very small point, and we reported the problem.

Loved Pondok Shindu. Was upgraded to their deluxe room which was lovely. Great outdoor bathroom. Beruk & Karen were so lovely.. Breakfast was delicious 😋 great location, 150mtr from beach & BioRock. Close to food options & minimart & money changer just down the main road. Definitely would stay here again..

My husband & I just loved staying here. For a budget traveller this guest house is amazing! location… short walk to beach as well as restaurants, shops & spas. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day & the owners were so friendly. Room has plenty of space & was cleaned every day. We enjoyed the outdoor bathroom and the gardens were just lovely. Do yourself a favour & stay here.

For me this was the most beautiful guesthouse on my whole trip in Bali. The room with its own terrace is spotless clean, you can see that the owners put a lot of effort in it, they even put cute flowerblossoms in the room every day after cleaning. There‘s a water kettle with coffee and tea as well as a fridge in the room. I loved the open bathroom. Delicious breakfast included! The owners are very kind and helpful, while still giving you your own space and privacy. We also booked a snorkeling/diving tour to Nusa Menjangan which was great!

Wonderful stay and highly recommend.

You could not find a kinder, more generous, and caring family than the one that runs Pondok Shindu. They provided anything I wanted and treated me like I was something special. They were absolutely amazing, and I would stay with them again anytime. The room was very comfortable, the bed was great, the air conditioning worked well, and I absolutely adored the food. Putu, the son, drove me to Denpasar and was an excellent driver. Wonderful, wonderful stay.

It’s located 5 min walking to the biorocks snorkelling spot and the restaurants, markets and atm. We rented snorkelling gear, did the laundry and got transportation to the ferry terminal from the accommodation. Breakfast was very good!

From the moment we arrived, Beruk the owner made us feel very welcome. Then his wife Karen, kids Hindu + Sindu were all very friendly. Beruk's mother cleaned and watered the garden. Beruk and Karen cleaned the rooms and made us tea, toast, joice and fruit for breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay here, very close to the beach and restaurants. Quiet as back from the main road and beach. The room (deluxe room) was a good size and the large terrace was a good private place to relax. Beruk gave us all the information we needed, plus when we asked him if he could organise us a boat to go to Menjangan Island for diving, he organised a boat, scuba tanks, lunch boxes and joined us as our dive guide. What a man! He made our dive trip to Menjangan a very pleasurable day, his suggestion of Nasi Campur for lunch on the boat was delicious!!

A very beautiful and clean house 150 m from the beach. We enjoy the breakfast served at the front poach overlooking a beautiful garden. The hosts were very attentive and kind and took pride in keeping their small guesthouse business even during hash Covid times.

Grote 15 literfles water op de kamer. Kamers elke dag schoongemaakt. Hele vriendelijke mensen. Pick-up van de airport prima, transport later naar haven ook. Keuze in ontbijt. Douche met heet water in de buitenlucht. Prachtige tuin. 2 handige droogrekjes. Waterkoker met koffie en thee op de kamer. Op loopafstand vh strand. Op de hoek vd straat Hoki 99; erg goed eten. Vlakbij onze duikschool Karang Divers. We komen graag weer terug.

We misten 2 kleine handdoeken naast de 2 grote. Verder niets op aan te merken.

Unsere Gastgeber waren super nett! Es war alles da was man braucht. Alles war sehr sauber. 2 Ausflüge wurden vom Gastgeber organisiert und alles hat toll funktioniert. Rundherum sind Restaurants, Geschäfte, Frisör, Massage und Bars Alles fußläufig gut erreichbar

Sehr nette Gastgeber, freundlich, in keiner Weise aufdringlich. Leckeres Frühstück, ganz besonders das indonesische. Schöner Garten! Strand in nächster Nähe. Ruhig gelegen. Organisieren Schnorchelausflüge. Der Sohn ist ein sicherer und zuverlässiger Autofahrer bei Ausflügen.
