A family vacation getaway, a place where you can relax and get away from it all but still close enough to enjoy that small hometown feel.
The cabin is on a wooded 1.25 acre lot.
There are plenty of outdoor activities for the family to enjoy in the area and surrounding areas.
*The cabin is approximately 4 miles/6 minutes away from the lake/Hanging Dog Recreation Area.
*We are only 8 miles/ 12 minutes away from Shooks Marina to enjoy boating and fishing. Dukes Hideaway Marina is approximately 5-6 miles/10-11 minutes away.
Plenty hiking trails to take in the scenery.
*We are 6 miles/ approximately 11 minutes from downtown Murphy
*The Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino is 9-12 miles / 20-25 minutes away.
*Nantahala Outdoor Center white water rafting is about 35 miles away, drive time with light traffic 45 minutes.
*The cabin is about 62-65 miles / approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes away from Cherokee, NC, (Welcome Center) with light traffic.
*Smoky Mountains National Park entrance from the NC side through Cherokee, NC, is about 80-87 miles/ approximately 2 hours 20 minutes from cabin with light traffic
· This is a 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom cabin with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa (Sleeps six (6) people with sleeper sofa)
*Please Note-This is NOT Waterfront Property. The lake is about 5 miles away, and most of the surrounding property is USFS land*
· No SMOKING/ some pets, maybe consider if kept in a kennel and for an additional non- refundable fee of $100.00. A waiver must be signed for the insurance company.
· WE NOW HAVE INTERNET/WIFI -NO landline - cell phones service breaks up in the rural/mountain areas-Verizon seems to work best, and texting-service is fine. ***ALWAYS CHECK WITH YOU CELL PHONE PROVIDER ABOUT EMERGENCY MODE SETTINGS BEFORE TRAVELING****
