The friendliest of Cotswolds stays in a idilic location
We absolutely loved the warm, friendly atmosphere of this charming Cotswolds stay. Simon and his team were fantastic, welcoming, attentive, and making everyone feel like old friends from the moment they walked through the door. The location in Moreton-in-Marsh is ideal for exploring the beautiful surrounding villages of the Cotswolds, then returning in the evening to enjoy a great selection of bars and restaurants just a short stroll away. That convenience was a real highlight for us, and we’d highly recommend staying in Moreton-in-Marsh especially at The Swan Inn. Our room had everything we needed, with a very comfortable bed, and we felt it offered excellent value for money for a weekend getaway. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. We truly loved everything about our stay. Simon has only owned the property for a year, but you can already see the care, attention, and thoughtful improvements he’s putting into it. There’s a real sense of pride and vision behind what he’s creating. It’s clear that The Swan Inn will only continue to get better and better as he carries on with his updates — and that makes us even more excited to return in the future.

The staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them. The pub is very central and pub has a lovely atmosphere.
We had an issue with the lighting as it’s an old building but the owners are fairly new and are in the middle of upgrading

Warmly recommended - charming and affordable option in a lovely location.
Charming and cosy pub inn with excellent service! Separate part of the pub available for residents, along with a cosy fire, good food and drink, etc. Owner and staff were excellent in terms of welcome, communications and help with advice or local bookings. Easy train ride from London. Dog friendly!
Bathroom light malfunction - it partly turned off automatically after a few seconds but remained partly on all the time. Easy to fix and staff were quick to note the need for repair.

Romantic Christmas in the cotswolds
The staff and owner went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful... they left treats for my husbands birthday and despite the pub being closed for a private function they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and included in their celebrations... the 4 poster bedroom was also incredibly comfortable and has charm and a romantic ambience.
Bathroom could do with updating and half an old cup of coffee was left by the kettle with a pack of biscuits floating in it. But this didn't matter because of the excellent welcome we recieved

Lovely hosts but room rather unclean and loud
Clean fresh bed linen and towels and the hosts were lovely
The bathroom was dirty. As was alot of the room. It didn’t feel value for money for the high price. There was also a creepy loft hatch im the room and a loud noise coming from the bathroom most of the night (sounded like piping from an adjoining bathroom). Sorry to have to write this because the hosts really were very lovely!
