Saffron House

Everything was perfect! The location was in a lovely setting, close to the shops and the beach. It was very clean, comfortable, and homely. The breakfast was freshly cooked and tastyl. I think it may have been locally sourced meat and fresh items from the garden. The swimming pool was a big bonus on hot days. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and they work very hard to make sure everyone is happy. We loved our holiday here, it was so relaxing we will definitely be coming back.

Bathroom a little small

Breakfast was fresh with good choices and good service. However it was only served for one hour 8.30-9.30.

The approach to the property was unkempt and unappealing. Furthermore the steep incline made parking quite a challenge with no room to manoeuvre. We arrived an hour early at 2.00pm and were not allowed in even though we found later that there was a bar and lounge area that we could quite easily have waited until our room was ready. On checking in the property smelt musty. We were staying in Room 9 up three flights of stairs. The room was small and appeared clean. There was no drinking water, no fridge no tissues. Finally the bathroom. It was the smallest bathroom I have ever encountered. I literally couldn’t turn around in it. Obviously it became very steamed up when taking a shower.
