Camping Hotel Au Lac De Como

This is the first campground we have stayed at in Italy and first appearances are that it is a bit old and shabby, but we spent a week here in a lake front cabin and realised it is well run and a wonderful place for a family holiday. The cabin is fairly small and equipped only for basic cooking, but the front deck is generous and where we spent most of our time. Also we were concerned about the lack of air conditioning, but by opening all the windows and running the fan, the cabin stayed comfortable, and it was over 30 degrees every day. Pool is well maintained, canoes are very reasonable to hire and icecreams and coffee are cheap. The lake is quite shallow in front of the campground which we realised was good as it was not overrun by kite surfers etc who use an area about 300metres further along. Good swimming places are not too far away. The local small supermarket is excellent and the local bus takes you to many places along the lake.

You need to understand the area between the lakefront cabins and the lake is full of campers. Fortunately we maintained some view all week, but other cabins views would have been quite obscured.

Great apartment is perfect location right on lake Como. Staff were so helpful and friendly, and couldn't do enough to help Lovely area and great pool to relax in

Great location you were right on the lake , we had a cabin with lake view, there were campers and caravan pitches in front of us, the cabin was tired but it was clean it suited our purpose just fine,it was a base to explore the region from.

near the lake and have a good walk near the area. there is a nice pizza restaurant near the hotel which staff recommended to us. staff are helpful and friendly. free parking.

it has very basic things for a short stay. it was very cheap and i booked to try a different camping experience and it is not something i will try this place again. those who do camping may find it quite nice though.
