Perfect in every way.

The size , the facilities, the outlook, the trail through the rainforest. The history of the land and what has been done and what the future plans are for the family. Absolutely amazing place to stay. Peace tranquility and so much to learn. The restaurant next door was unbelievable. Tania was brilliant and so informative.

Very Disappointing and not as the Sites Photos show it

Clean and Tidy, Very Roomy, Good Bed, but it was dark and dingy due to being far to in close by the outside undergrowth

Very disappointed with the outside of our Cabin/Apartment, I think it was number 1 and none of the 78 photos that are off the property on Booking.com show any resemblance to that Cabin, we have been traveling in NZ for over 4 weeks and this was supposed to be a restful 3 days before returning to the UK, that we could site outside in the evening and enjoy some quite time. All the photos show the outside areas with Grass and Flowers, ours was nothing like that, very enclosed, dark and dingy, we never sat outside, it was really not what the sites pictures show, not a true representation of the outside area. Look at the Photos we have attached and Judge for your self’s Yes we knew it was Subtropical but doesn’t mean it should be different to the other Cabin on site

We had a very easeful stay and would highly recommend this facility.

The garden setting was superb. We found the host to be very accommodating, friendly, and informative. Having an artist in residence and art throughout the garden was very appealing.

The only thing with noting is that screens on several windows were absent.

Unique stay in special location.

Unique location in the Sub-tropical Gardens. Quiet but convenient. Stone Store/ good pub within walking distance. Kerikeri town a walk/ very short drive away, and handy for other nearby attractions.

Chalet 1 rather enclosed, with shrubs up to decking. Other 4 had the advantage of a grass area in front for a more open aspect/view.

Perfect cottage, wonderful environment.

The cottage had everything we could possibly need and was modern and comfortable with a deck overlooking a wonderful subtropical garden. Tania helped us with our washing and was a great host. Away from the hustle and bustle of the Bay of Islands.

Car parking required a bit of practice! Nothing really.

Do yourself a favor and stay here

This place is so beautiful. An entire bungalow set in a very peaceful 5 acre garden. We loved it. Tania and her Dad are lovely. The place is very clean and comfortable. Would really recommend it. The onsite restaurant is very good. Thanks for a wonderful stay. The bed was huge and comfortable and the bathroom is possibly the largest I’ve ever seen. We loved sitting on the balcony and having a cold one.

Subtropical Paradise

It is a wonderful place in midst of a subtropical paradise and close to the historical highlights, beautiful walkways and good restaurants in Kerikeri. The bungalows are well equipped and maintained, and allow a lot of privacy. Our hosts were most friendly, supportive and welcoming, and contributed to the lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed every day. Thank you!

The location was beautiful . Who knew there was so much bird life and trees right near town.

I loved that , it wasn't wall to wall like a motel , but with the price if a motel we had our own cabin surrounded by gardens , bird and trees . So relaxing . We really enjoyed the garden art walk too was a great way to slow down and enjoy a garden walk with a cool breeze and shade on a hot day.

A magical long weekend in nature

The surroundings were absolutely magical. We knew there was a garden, but we didn't expect anything like this! Spectacular and beautiful, the variety of different plant species and birds was lovely. Truly a special place with walks around it.

This place was amazing. Set in the most awesome gardens, with a world class restaurant just metres away (out of sight). Really comfy in a brillant part of NZ so glad we spent two nights here, superb gardens to wander around in. Thanks to the great hosts,

Loved it and will stay again.

Loved the bush setting, the cabin really requires a bushwalk and that's very cool. The Maha restaurant was superb, a real treat.

A musty smell is common to buildings that have to be closed up in the bush in damp conditions. We opened the doors and windows when we first arrived and that helped. The rooms themselves were not damp and you get the same smell in tropical locations, so it is not a biggie to us, just part of the time of year and natural setting.

Wonderful time in Kerikeri in lovely accommodation

Tropical paradise, own, self-contained chalet in private botanical garden. The chalet with living room/ kitchen plus bedroom and terrace is very comfortable and has all you need for a pleasant stay including air conditioning. Parking on site. Very good value for money. Highly recommended as base for exploring Northland or just chilling out in Kerikeri with nearby waterfall walks. Would love to come back.

A lovely, peaceful cottage to come back from sightseeing and relax. 😊

We loved Monty the dog, chats with Tanya, the Wharepuke Sculpture trail was very enjoyable, the beautiful garden outside the back deck. We enjoyed sitting outside enjoying the nature. The peace and quiet, comfortable bed.

Awesome

We stayed 6 nights and it was a really good choice. The accommodation is a perfect starting point for day trips to Cape Reinga, the Bay of Islands and Waipoua Kauri forest. There are also some tracks to 5 waterfalls within walking distance. The Rainbow falls walk ist perfect for running. Our host Tania was lovely and gave us a lot of tips. The bungalow has a lot of space. I loved the terrace which was surrounded by lots of wonderful plants. We really enjoyed our stay.
