One of the shower didn’t have cold water and also one of the single bed electric blanket just stopped working on the second day

We really enjoyed our stay. I was surprised that the tennis court were clean, even any leaves were removed.

I was disappointed that the restaurant was not operational anymore. The top bathroom's plug did not work. I would have appreciated dry firewood, but that there was a complementary bag of wood, was nice.

The Arminel self catering units are absolutely wonderful! The setting is magical, like something out of a story book! Beautiful trees, well maintained gardens and very comfortable, modern accommodation. The unit has two floors, well kitted kitchen, two full bathrooms, heaters in the bedrooms, wonderful wood burning fireplace in the lounge that heats the whole unit up effortlessly. We visited a few other accommodation offerings in the area and were so pleased that we chose the Arminel - truly head and shoulders above the rest. Close to everything that Hogsback has to offer. The grounds have a tennis court, swimming pool and plenty to explore for our children aged 7 and 10.

Everything was perfect at our accommodation, to no fault of the Arminel - the main road in Hogsback and the other roads to the waterfalls and restaurants are littered with pot holes and made driving a bit of a headache, but most places are in walking distance anyway.

There was no hot water to shower. Eventually discovered on day 2 the geyser was not turned on. Choose a place specifically for a swimming pool during the month of January. The pool was not clean to swim. Unfortunately, I left my salt & pepper set as well as my potato peeler in the kitchen. Nobody contacted me about it.
