The view of the hotel is the best selling point which is surrounded by the snow cap mountain. It has traditional Japanese style room. The toilet is shared with other and it’s a bit cold. The buff is Japanese public bath style. There are free . The bed needs to be changed to new one.

Let me start with this: we didn't expect this to be a resort-quality type of experience. We chose this for two reasons and both were met and beyond. 1 = easy access to the Hakuba Valley ski hills; 2 = a Japanese Inn experience instead your run-of-the-mill hotel (usually very forgettable) experience. Mr. Kashiwa operates this Inn and took care of us and all the guests, from check in to info on how to get places, and driving us places. This place and Mr. Kashiwa made our experience memorable: he was genuinely sincere to make his guests happy. On the last day we checked out, he spent quick a bit of time telling about his life, his photos, what he does during off season. You don't get that at the Marriott or Holiday Inn.

The Inn is a little older so if you expecting brand spanking new facilities, this is not quite it. But comfort, cleanliness, good Japanese (healthy) breakfasts, and friendly chats with other guests at breakfast - all that made this a very memorable experience for my wife and me.

Breakfast was fantastic, the room and the view were great. The bath was very relaxing. A great more traditional Japanese experience in a pretty westernised area of Happo. The master is very kind and full of information. He'll drop you off at the ski hill. Drying room was perfect and my boots were toasty warm and dry every day. Hard to fault. Fantastic place.

I liked that it was a more traditional Japanese hotel with a lovely Japanese style breakfast.

At first the owner was really kind but when we returned to takyubin our things after the final day skiing he got really angry with me saying he was really busy. I had only asked if it was possible to takyubin from there which I’ve done 20-30 times in the 10 years I’ve been skiing in Hakuba so I was really confused about why he was angry about it and I left feeling really upset about the whole thing.
