Perfect place to come home to after long shifts at the Winter Olympics in Cortina. Breakfast was excellent; staff happy

Great location with everything you need.

Location is great, the garage, although with a steep entry, was very welcome in the cold winter. Breakfast was delicious.

Some equipment is worn out and not functional. This was not essential, though.

I loved our stay at Simpaty

The location was terrific just across from the bus station. Super easy to catch the buses to Tre Cime, Lago di Braise and Cortina. A great European breakfast with extras of made to order coffee and eggs. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Simpaty to anyone exploring the Dolomites.

Quaint town, very helpful staff.

It was right across the street from bus to start our Alta Via hiking -very convenient. Breakfast delicious and generous options. They also assisted with luggage transport to the end of our hike.

Beautiful and central hotel

Such a beautiful boutique hotel. We felt it was very modern but also still fit the local environment. Our view was spectacular and the staff were phenomenal! Also the parking was so convenient!

We had travel delays and due to their limited access for communication with staff, we were concerned we had missed the checkin window and would need to find other accommodations. Thankfully their staff at the attached bar helped us get our keys but we would have been in a real pickle if the bar had been closed.

Very friendly staff Reception welcomes you with a friendly smile 😊 and goes out of their way to assist you with all your queries. Our room was cleaned daily. The bed was very comfortable with extra bedding available n the cupboard. The toiletries were of high quality. The food and service at breakfast was of a very high standard. Parking is free, either undercover or at the back of the Hotel. The location is perfect 👌as the bus station was across the road a 2 minute walk. The supermarket was 5 minutes walk and the restaurants are 5 - 10 minutes walk from Hotel Simpaty.

Great stay, cute reception area, clean rooms

We chose Dobbiaco as an alternative to Cortina we were happy with our choice. It was close to lake di braies, lake dobbiaco and tre cimi by car. Dobbiaco is also great for tre cimi as there is a direct bus which was right next door to the hotel (does need to be to be prebooked). The hotel itself is close to the town centre and multiple walkable cafes, restaurants and grocery store. The hotel was clean with spacious rooms and great balcony. We didn’t realise we had breakfast included so unfortunately missed a day. We loved it the other times as the dining area was modern and clean, with a good variety. You also have the option to ask for a cappuccino or eggs the way you like. Another standout at the hotel was receptionist/concierge Alek. He was helpful when we first arrived but remembered things we had asked and checked in to see if they had been done.

The pillows were too tall/big for my liking :(

Modern hotel at the best location (for travelling with public transport

the location is just opposite Dobbiaco bus station (bus to trecime, lago di braise, cortina) there is a supermarket next door and another supermarket within short walking distance. Our room is big enough, brand new and clean. Breakfast is good (from 7.30-9.30)

wifi in our room was not working well, sometimes we had to go near the door / outside to get connection. No kettle nor fridge in the room

It is in a central location very close to bus stop, dining, next to the supermarket and shopping. Only two miles walking distance from Lago di Dobbiaco. Breakfast was superb!

AN ENJOYABLE AND COMFORTABLE STAY

Extremely nice room with a mountain view, very friendly and helpful staff.

We missed only vegetables at breakfast. Otherwise very tasty.

Relaxing atmosphere

Large room and closet. Quiet cute town. Good view from corridor. Helpful staff. Have elevator. Have underground parking lot (access via tapping room card at its door). The parking lot behind the hotel may be hard to access because the large garbage bin may block the way.

It's in Dobbiaco, so there's 30+ minute drive to Tre Cime. But it's close to Lago di Braies. So its location is good for someone with rental car but not ones using public transportation.

Perfect stay for skiing

We came to Dobbiaco for snowboarding at Tre Cime Dolomites. Hotel Simpaty is perfectly located - right next to the building there is bus station with direct bus to Moos, and if you want to go to Vershiaco or San Candido by train, you can take the bus to the train station or take a 10-minutes walk. The interior of Hotel Simpaty is so luxurious and beautiful! Breakfasts were tasty and kept us full till the lunch break at the slope. Hotel provides ski deposit and Holiday Pass for public transportation, they also provided us with every information about bus/train timetable, maps etc. Staff was really helpful and we had no problem with communication in english. Right next to the Hotel there is supermarket. Dobbiaco as a city is really peaceful and quiet, we enjoyed evening walks around the city. If you need a larger selection of restaurants and pubs, you can easily get to San Candido.

The location, the interior design, the toilet paper holder, the intriguing match between the name of the facility and the basic price p.p./p.n.

The entrance to the garage is steep (I am not complaining about the terrain, I understand it's in the center of the town and it's already a big benefit to have a garage) but it's unacceptable to have a chunk of ice (couple of cm) covering the entrance, so it is very challenging to enter and especially for cars with back-wheel drive to exit without sliding and even scratching the ice with the undercarriage. Elsewhere in the town we didn't notice any ice and it's been the mildest of many winters. The breakfast is overrated (25€ extra charge) compared to what's offered in this area of Italy and Austria. The ski-room/lockers not heated, so your boots stay humid. Check-in time until 17:00? Yes, you can contact them and ask for a late check-in and it worked for us (18:00) but how can it be categorized as a HOTEL if they have no reception active after 17:00, like some Garni/private accomodation/appartment rental?
