Villa Di Capovento was a serene and very welcoming space. From the moment we arrived, our hosts, Stella and Ettori, made us feel at home! The Villa was also very centrally placed for lots of day trips if we were keen to explore the region.It was an oasis in the Chianti hills that we will visit again!!

If you desire the luxury of a quiet environment, no crowds, a very approachable and hospitable staff, then this is the place for you. There are only six rooms, max 12 guests, the property is large, we never felt the other guests. The owners are wonderful, doing the serving and cooking themselves (which was excellent, both at the included breakfast and at the paid dinner). They have an elevator, a pool, great free wifi also in the outdoor areas. The surrounding areas offer ample opportunity for walks, enjoying solitude, or experiencing the wine estates.
Not a criticism but something to know - you have to drive on a choppy dirt road. I saw plenty of fiat pandas driving the road, so you'll be fine

Our hosts were absolutely fantastic! The location was also easy for making daily plans.
Our room wasn’t the best. It was downstairs and had poor lighting.
The swimming pool was not an option due to the insane amount of biting horseflies.
