Our hosts were absolutely fantastic! The location was also easy for making daily plans.

Our room wasn’t the best. It was downstairs and had poor lighting. The swimming pool was not an option due to the insane amount of biting horseflies.

A very lovely place to stay in the countryside. With very helpful kind hosts!

Stella and e’tore were so helpful taking much of their time to help us resolve a serious car rental problem. It was before dinner when they were busy and before breakfast when they were busy, yet they helped us. It was so stressful for us and we so appreciate their help. Also, bed so comfortable, shower so hot with good water pressure and lovely views from room were wonderful!! Food was delicious for breakfast and dinner.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property! The weather was raining and had turned cool so we were unable to enjoy the outside or the walks from property. This of ucourse sometimes just happens.

A Farm villa in the middle of Chianti . What more can you ask for? 1500 olive trees on property producing oil you won’t experience anywhere else. WE WILL BE BACK

Absolutely wonderful would do it all again in a heartbeat

Everything we love Italy and this looked like the perfect place to relax and chill out also a base to return to after a day out. The hosts are exceptional and will do anything to help your holiday adventure. The cook is magnificent and cooks traditional family food also the menu changes daily and if there is a dish you would like it’s not a problem. Stella the main host is wonderful always happy and bright her knowledge of the food and wine is second to none she really makes your holiday perfect, the staff are all friendly and do an excellent service.

There is nothing to dislike if you love the Italian countryside and the tranquility off it all this is the place for you.

Perfect villa in Chianti, beautiful views, nice pool, very good breakfast, delicious dinner. Stella and Ettore went above and beyond, even took us from/to the bus stop! Good hiking routes and wineries nearby. We would stay there again!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. The hosts? Incredibly kind, warm, and helpful – it felt less like visiting a hotel and more like staying with family… the kind of family you actually want to stay with. They were always ready with advice on what to see and where to go, almost as if they could read our minds. And the food… oh, the food. Pure poetry on a plate. Simple, yet a true feast for the senses. Each meal was so good it made me consider applying for permanent residency – in the kitchen. Villa di Capovento is not just a hotel. It’s a home, one that makes every guest feel both special and completely at ease. It’s not just a place you visit; it’s a place your heart insists you return to.

Villa di Capovento is in an exceptional, peaceful location, with fabulous views and excellent outdoor facilities - lovely pool and lots of different seating areas. Stella and Ettiore were great hosts - very welcoming - and the various breakfasts and evening meals were delicious - all home-made produce, which was beautifully presented and served by Stella. We had a wonderful couple of days in this beautiful spot and will definitely be returning.

A perfect stay in Tuscany

Perfectly peacefully villa, lovely hosts and great food. Cannot recommend enough, was so good I extended my stay. Great deep pool, charming views, awesome breakfast, very comfortable rooms, and amazing dinners on site each night. A perfect Tuscany stay.

Genuinely exceptional.

Villa Di Capovento is genuinely exceptional. Stella and Ettore were utterly fantastic hosts - extremely friendly and welcoming without being at all overbearing. They are clearly exceptionally proud of their hotel (which is also their home) - and rightly so. The location is stunning, and wonderfully peaceful. The swimming pool is large and quiet and there are multiple areas to relax. The food is fantastic, with a local emphasis - and worth significantly more than the very reasonable prices they charge. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Villa Di Capovento more highly.

Everything. Love the vibe, the sunlight and the great serenity and peace here. The biggest mistake we made is we only stayed for one night - not enough at all. Will definitely return and spend a week just enjoy everything. Breakfast is very organic and huge thanks to Stella and Ettore for the hospitality.

Quintessential Chianti

We adored our stay at Capovento. We wished for the time to stay still. The accommodation is wonderful, the food and wine lovely, the hosts incredibly generous and welcoming. The grounds are pure poetry. We took one of the walks they suggested: quintessential Tuscany (Chianti) what you see in the photographs about it, that’s what you’re in the middle of there. We hope we will be able to go back.

Just stay here. 10/10 experience. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the experience. Stella and Ettore were so thoughtful, attentive, and helpful during our stay. The place itself is beautiful and relaxing. The breakfast every morning was absolutely delicious and a great opportunity for everyone to crowd-source the day's plans with Stella, Ettore, and other travelers. Similar experience on the back-end for dinner, except with lots more wine with the other guests. Exactly what I was looking for in a Chianti B&B.

A hidden magical experience among the Tuscan Hills

Words can’t describe this magical place. A true Italian experience made by the family that run it. Ettore and Stella put their heart and soul in to giving you the best experience they can in the Tuscan hills. From the traditional recipes passed down through the generations, to the sun loungers by the infinity pool that can cover your face if needed, every detail is thought about and considered. The food was hands down the best Italian cuisine I’ve had. The produce either from their vegetable garden a few metres away or a local supplier, every day was a surprise and a delight. And of course the wine. It’s not hard to find great wine in Chianti obviously, however what they offer are the wines they personally enjoy and based on every other choice they make for their guests, you can imagine you are in for yet another delight. This was one of, if not, the best stay in recent memory. For anyone, or any couple, looking for a quiet getaway in one of the most beautiful villa’s in Tuscany, this is your place. Villa Di Capovento is even more beautiful in person than it is in pictures: the grounds are beautiful, the pool is amazing/incredibly relaxing and the rooms are spacious, air conditioned (!) and some even come with their own jacuzzi. The only thing that was more impressive than the Villa itself was the unmatched care that Stella, Ettore and Nerina (their cat) took of us on our entire stay. They were incredibly caring to all needs, flexible in setting up wine tastings/motor bikes for us to get around, and easily accessible for anything related to the room. Ettore even went the extra mile and drove to pick us up at a nearby winery when one of our bike tires went flat. On top of the beautiful grounds and the incredibly caring staff, we had the best food on our entire trip (Amalfi, Tuscany, Milan) at Villa Di Capovento. We will absolutely be back next year and hopefully for many years to come

Brilliant place with brilliant staff. We had high expectations due to the high ratings of this place, and I must say that the stay still exceeded our expectations by far. We would love to come back and can highly recommend this place to couples or smaller group of friends. We spent two nights, but if we could plan the same trip again we would definitely spent at least one more night at this fantastic place.

The facilities, the hospital, the breakfast, the room, the owners, we think is one of the best places we ever stayed.

Everything was perfect. We could mention that we had to go through a gravel road but then we wouldn't be in such an exceptional location. So i believe gravel road is part of such a great place.

My partner and I stayed at Villa di Capovento for one night on our way to a wedding in Siena and it was like a balm to our souls (frazzled by international travel in COVID times). The villa is in a beautiful and secluded spot high in the hills of Chianti and was the perfect place to decompress. Our room was lovely and very comfortable; we particularly liked that it had large windows to let the light in and was surrounded by trees. We had dinner and breakfast at the villa and both meals were excellent. Stella and Ettore were warm and gracious hosts and we felt very well looked after by them. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay for longer.
