The Grafton Guest House

Everything! Lovely property. Environment was very well organised. Laurie and Paul are very attentive hosts. We had a twin bedroom with en-suite which suited me and my adult daughter perfectly - plenty of space in the room including a coffee table and two chairs, so nice to relax in. Property is on the seafront with very close free parking in a side street. Great selection for breakfast. 10 minute walk from friends we were visiting and lovely to walk from the accommodation along the front to the pier. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Water is very hot when choose the high pressure for shower. Price is a bit high.

In our opinion this isn’t a 4 star hotel, it’s 3 star at best. The furniture in the rooms are so old fashioned, so much so it’s depressing. The whole building needs a revamp and needs modernisation. Fruit fly’s were flying around the tables at breakfast. The owners are pleasant enough but the man tapped me on the shoulder at 2.40pm when we used the key to enter the b and b in the afternoon to tell me other guests walked in at the same time as us and we shouldn’t have allowed that to happen as they could be potential strangers. I can’t control it if a normal looking couple with suitcases enter the hotel the same time as us. I’m not going to stop them entering and then the following day the front door was completely wide open so anyone could have walked in then. I didn’t appreciate been spoken to like a child at all. Not worth the money we paid, the cooked breakfast was nice but the tray of cereals, chosen yoghurts for you and wrapped up shop bought croissants weren’t great, there was 3 of us but got 2 chosen yoghurts and half a pint of milk for 3 peoples cereals. Very old fashioned and breakfast room awful, in desperate need of modernising.
