Hotel Riviera

I always give great reviews & am no princess. reserved here bc it said AC & I just cannot sleep in heat. it was 28C when I checked in, the room's "courtyard view" was a small window onto basically a large airshaft, there was no circulation, it was stifling. I was told AC was not possible until it was 25, that they couldn't cool the whole place for just me, that everyone else complained of the cold when they turned it on. I had to beg for a fan, which I finally got- very small and old- and it shorted out almost immediately. eve desk clerk was very flustered, said basically my prob. Wouldn't let me cancel my second day. An hour later he called and said he'd turn it on for 1 hour. it was not "cold", barely cool. I dozed till it went off then tossed till dawn and booked another hotel (Mezquita, not even really that much more, considering it's 100x nicer), which made it clear what a poor value Riviera is. the kicker is that when I came back the next afternoon to switch hotels, the AC was on just fine, but I didn't trust they'd keep it on bc of the day before. on the plus side, it's very clean and central.

great location mid way between railway station and Mezquita so close everywhere one needs. Room clean and staff friendly

Have elevator. Single toom with attached bathroom. Near to cordoba train station (1km).

Have stayed here before. Hotel is ten minutes walk from the bus and train stations by the round tower in the shopping district of the city. Only a short walk to the historical attractions. Large comfortable room and bathroom. Stayed in Autumn. A fridge in the room would be handy in summer for a refreshing cold drink after a long day's walking.
