Chiseldon House Hotel

Lovely hotel and the grounds were beautiful. Nice food and rooms were generously proportioned, but we did pay for the larger room. Parking on site.

It was very quiet and there was only us and one other table in the restaurant for the evening. Felt quite soulless. The room was very hot, but they did provide a fan to help with this.

Everything was superb . Staff were helpful. Food was superb Just lovely

Very interesting property

The hall way, large room, but best of all the staff.

Underated hotel, it was very comfortable and the room was so spacious, classic and cosy. Love the period features. The receptionist was welcoming and everything was effortless but felt thoughtful. The grounds were a bonus when you want to have a little wander and stretch your legs but don't want to go too far. Lots of nice seating areas to suit everyone. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and had everything we wanted. The huge cafetiere of good coffee was perfect (we are that fussy that we travel with backup coffee in case it wasn't to our taste but we didn't need it!) The tree walk and bamboo grove was unexpected but made for nice photos before retreating back to the room. Great value, classic, charming, comfortable hotel.

Plug didn't work in bath as well as it could, it just needs a new silicone seal.
