After a long drive, Hotel Gruber was an oasis of peace

The owner is a very courteous lady who showed us the two available rooms and we choice the larger one being more comfortable and overlooking the garden.everything is clean and the room is spacious - so good to relax after our long drive! And we had dinner at the hotel and our meal was perfectly served and equivalent to a Michelin star restaurant!

A very pleasant base for a relaxed walking and sightseeing holiday

Very Comfortable = and the decor was very tastefuj and elegant.I particularly liked the dining room - essentially a conservatory giving a pleasant and restful view of the beautiful garden and surrounding landscape. The proprietrix was most attentive and helpful without being intrusive.

Relaxing and refreshing holiday

The location is perfect. Close enough to all the hiking trails, but far enough from the city to be quiet. Very friendly owner who did her best to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast was nice prepared.

The pillows were a bit thin, but that is personal preference.

Lovely, family run hotel in Steinheim

The location was great for walking. It was very peaceful. Hotel was close to a bus stop taking you to Echternach gare.

The breakfast was well provided, and served at the tables.

Tables were not free to sit in the morning and everyone receives the same choice, which is a little odd, as not everyone eats e.g. eggs or meat in the morning.

The surroundings are beautiful, the staff was wonderful and the room was easily accessable and clean.

There's no real other place to have dinner in the immediathe vicinity.

Very nice hotel

Very professional staff, delicious food and good location. You have a possibility to order food into the room, there is a great offer of 3 dish menu with appertivo, very nicely served. And most of all, you get a dining table into the room and are being served just as in a restaurant. The room was very clean. I can recommend a stay in hotel Gruber if you are in the area.

Pleasant

The breakfast was really good and also very personal. The lady of the house served us eggs and coffee and it was not the classical buffet like most hotels give. Nice.

The beds were uncomfortable, my back really hurt when I woke up and that's something I only have when sleeping on a campsite in a tent. Also at the checkout we waited almost 15 minutes for someone at the desk but nobody came... This was really unpleasant.

Ideaal rustig Hotel met heerlijke keuken, voor wie de Müllerthal route 1 wil bewandelen

Wat een heerlijke keuken! Wat een fijne mensen, van onthaal over keuken en zaalpersoneel tot de 3 floormanagers toe. Ideale rustige ligging ver van de drukte van Echternach. Vlakbij de bushalte ( bussen zijn gratis) Maw ideaal voor wie de Müllerthal route 1 in 2 delen wil stappen richting Rosport. De bus 271 of 272 stopt ook in Moersdorf, Mompach of Herborn. Aan de uitbaters geniet van een.welverdiende rust!

De standaard kamers zijn eenvoudig, maar ze voldoen wel.

Een net en goed verzorgd hotel. Prima voor als men op doorreis is.

De rustige ligging en comfortabele kamer. Door ons niet te storen aan de enigszins dominante houding van de eigenaresse kregen wij ondanks onze late boeking toch een upgrade naar een royale kamer met inloop douche tegen een zeer geringe meerprijs!

De traagheid waarmee het ontbijt geserveerd wordt.

Cuisine excellente et environnement agréable se prêtant à la pratique du vélo.

Venus faire du vélo dans la région, nous avons apprécié la localisation de l'hôtel, à proximité immédiate d'une piste cyclable longeant la Sûre (vers Echternach d'un côté et Wasserbillig et la Moselle de l'autre) et d'une piste cyclable côté allemand, accessible via une passerelle enjambant la rivière. Les deux repas pris le soir au restaurant de l'hôtel étaient excellents et copieux. Le personnel était attentif et professionnel.

Locatie prima, rustig en groen omgeven. Ruime parkeergelegenheid. Schoon en goed onderhouden. Prima uitvalsbasis voor trips.

In persoonlijk contact zeer terughoudend en erg formeel. Ook wel sfeerloos genoemd. Uitzondering de dames van de schoonmaak, vriendelijk en inlevend Extreem harde matrassen zeer matige hoofdkussens. Groot aanbod TV zenders waarvan een flink aantal door storing niet te bekijken. Zeker geen uitbundig en gevarieerd ontbijt, net voldoende

Uitstekend 3 sterren hotel, met een rustige omgeving, met uitvalswegen naar Echternach en steden.

Uitstekend ontbijt, je kon gewoon nog iets bijvragen, rustige omgeving, perfect kunnen slapen. Badkamer had wel vreemde kraan, dat als je de verkeerde kant opdraait, de pannekoek boven ineens water gaat sproeien, dan is je haar nat.

Pour le tout nous avons aimé le jardin aussi et nous y avons déjà été une fois auparavant et nous y retournerons

L endroit came dans la verdure la propreté et surtout le repas excellent et superbement décoré Bravo au cuisinier

Dans la chambre la garde robe avait 2 étagères pratique inaccessibles en hauteur et le coffre placé au sol donc on doit pratiquement se mettre à quatre pattes pour y accéder ,dommage de ne pas y réfléchir

Zeer proper allemaal. Zeer vriendelijk. Goede bedden. Locatie top. Weg van een drukke stad maar dicht bij Echternach waar wel wat restaurantjes zijn. Ideaal gelegen om te wandelen en te fietsen.

Ontbijt. Te weinig afwisseling. 3 nachten verbleven en niks van groentjes zoals een stukje tomaat gezien. Eéntonig muziek. Ligbad met douche maar geen douchegordijn. Geen waterkoker op de kamer. Wifi niet steeds stabiel.

Super voor een kort verblijf dichtbij Mullertal Trail 1

Kamer en badkamer zeer ruim, en proper. Het ontbijt was prima! En mogelijkheid om savonds in restaurant te eten (chicque en absoluut lekker!)

Er was wel wat lawaai van passerende autos wanneer je met de venster open slaapt. En een glazen wand ah bad voor de douche zou handig zijn.
